What a finale for Leeds Rhinos who wave goodbye to two of their all-time greats in Rob Burrow and particularly Danny McGuire - who bows out of his Leeds career with a second Harry Sunderland Trophy for man of the match and an eighth Grand Final win.

Leeds were hotter than the sun, too hot for Castleford.

Castleford were outstanding in 2017, but could not mirror that performance when it mattered tonight.

Eight Grand Final wins for Leeds, Castleford will learn from the experience. They must go again.

Nothing like bowing out of your career with two tries to your name in a winning Grand Final against the League Leaders’ Shield winners, eh?

Danny McGuire has played out of his skin tonight and that drop-goal has well and truly wrapped this up. Can Cas find anything in consolation?

The perfect performance is complete. Danny McGuire spots the chance to slip over another drop goal and takes it.

    Dumbstruck.

Greg Eden misses out on the chance to equal the Castleford try record for the second time, this time the video referee.

Jy Hitchcox had a foot in touch when he offloaded and Eden had a clear run through. No try. Sad for the Tigers.

Big men rise in big games and Danny McGuire has been immaculate.

His second try has sealed the Grand Final for Leeds on his final appearance - 424th - and possibly booked him the Harry Sunderland Trophy for the second time in three years.

Ruthless from Leeds to punish the error, Cas didn't deal with Rob Burrow's grubber and McGuire was first to the punch.

    Game over.

Ben Roberts has to sweep up to deny Leeds another score after a teasing kick against the grain into the in-goal area.

Drop out is spilled then knocked on. Tempers flare! Castleford and Leeds players tussle.

The Rhinos fans serenade their on-field general Danny McGuire. What a way to break a losing streak.

Leeds get head and feed. 10 out. Castleford still got the big duck egg against their name.

I think Castleford have struggled with finding composure, forming a normal rhythm - and that's what Grand Finals can do to you. The game is that quick that you can struggle to work into your systems and shapes and structures.

If we're being honest, I think this is Leeds' Grand Final now. I think Danny McGuire and Joel Moon will take a lot of the plaudits, but Stevie Ward has defended with a lot of vigour and put in a real performance.

Assault on the Leeds line from Cas and Jake Webster is inside the 10! Two balls brings a temporary halt....

Then the Tigers lose it. This is heartbreaking for the Tigers. Leeds have shown no mercy.

If we’re being honest, Leeds haven’t done anything special. They’ve just been consistently consistent at what they’ve done.

Tom Briscoe tidies up a Castleford kick, but get Leeds back in their own 10.

Leeds hooker Rob Burrow comes on to a rapturous reception. The little man with the big heart will make his final appearance with 15 minutes to go, up against his hometown club Castleford.

Meanwhile, stop the press. A Castleford handling error.

I'm sorry Jay but I disagree. Definitely a forward pass from Joel Moon. But no one thought to look at it.

Leeds just rattling through the sets. Castleford playing desperately now.

The first time in this match when someone’s crossed over and there’s no arguments about the try and the way it was scored. Tom Briscoe finishes with style to give Leeds what could be an unassailable lead.

Dear oh dear, it’s not looking good for Castleford.

Nice short-side attacking play from the Leeds Rhinos. It was a nice little weaving run from Joel Moon to get between two defenders and find the space, and then deliver a left-arm offload to Tom Briscoe. It's a 150th career try for Tom Briscoe.

I haven't seen Castleford look so deep all season, their usual cohesion is lacking, they are standing really deep in terms of shape.

This is a huge surface and very different to their usual home pitch, although they did well on their travels at Newcastle for Magic Weekend. This is another kettle of fish. Has the atmosphere got to them? Their fairytale has been brutally stubbed out.

TOM BRISCOE HAS SURELY CLINCHED IT FOR LEEDS.

150 up for the former Hull winger, but it's down to the line from Stevie Ward, the slippery feet of Joel Moon and a dubious-looking forward pass.

How that didn't even go upstairs I don't know. But it is the dagger in Castleford hearts. Even they cannot come back from this.

The Tigers have scored points for fun this season, but Leeds are dominating. Their forwards are sapping Cas, grinding them down and working them over.

There's no chance for Luke Gale to prompt, to create or probe.

Same old story on the error count by the way. No let up in that or the foul weather.

You can see lots of dejected faces among the Castleford bench but they're not out of this game by any means. Danny McGuire has managed this game throughout and they deserve that try.
