    Iestyn Harris
Former Great Britain and Wales international on Radio 5 live sports extra

Farah is pointing to his arm and he says something has happened. He's accusing Jermaine McGillvary of biting him. The referee is having to calm this down. Who would be a referee?!

Well, we've just seen a replay of that coming together between Farah and McGillvary. The TV pictures do seem to suggest that Farah's claim that he was bitten by McGillvary might not be entirely groundless. There was certainly some kind of contact when they were both on the ground.

No penalty, and England get the game going again. Was Robbie Farah just trying to rile up his opposition there?

    England 22-6 Lebanon

Lebanon complete their first set of the half and Robbie Farah goes long beyond Jermaine McGillvary, who scampers back to scoop it up.

Farah's not happy with a coming together at the ruck with McGillvary. The Lebanon half-back is called over by the referee. He's alleging a bite from the England winger? That's going on report.

A very controversial start to the half - tempers really fraying.

  5. Kick-offpublished at 40 mins

    England 22-6 Lebanon

Here we go, England get the second half going with a big Stefan Ratchford boot.

  6. 'England need a threat on both sides'published at 10:08 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

    Kevin Sinfield
Former England and Leeds captain on BBC Two

If we are going to win a World Cup we need to have an attacking threat on both sides. At the moment we have a big threat on the right edge so I'd like to see us go down the left edge in this second half. We need to test our left edge out in a game situation.

  7. Currie extends England's leadpublished at 10:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

There was also a first England try for Ben Currie, after a smart offload from Josh Hodgson.

James Eaton: Williams needs to replace Gale at Half time. His overall game today has not been good enough especially his short kicking game.

  9. Hall scores England's third trypublished at 10:05 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

And while we're at it, here is the try from England's other winger - Ryan Hall touching down in the corner (according to the video referee).

  10. 'McGillvary outstanding again'published at 10:05 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

    Kevin Sinfield
Former England and Leeds captain on BBC Two

Jermaine McGillvary gets us forward all the time. We get a quick play of the ball and it puts us on the front foot. He finished well for the try - he has been outstanding again.

Would we have taken 22-6 at half-time? Of course we would.

Today is a potential banana skin but I think that we will kick on in the second half now.

  11. McGillvary races over to put England aheadpublished at 10:04 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

He scored against Australia - and he was at it again in the first half against Lebanon.

    Here is Jermaine McGillvary's try.....

  12. 'England will get 50 now'published at 10:03 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

    Jonathan Davies
Former Great Britain full-back on BBC Two

The gulf of class will shine through now. England gave away two poor penalties to give Lebanon field position but Lebanon have made 70 or 80 more tackles so that will start to show in the second half.

England are doing OK, but that last kick on the sixth tackle has to be improved.

England are happy and are in control. I think they will go on and put 50 past Lebanon now.

  13. Scotland suffer New Zealand losspublished at 10:02 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

  18. Watkins scores England's openerpublished at 09:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

    Kevin Sinfield
Former England and Leeds captain on BBC Two

The subtleties of having Sean O'Loughlin playing in the middle zone - that is the value for England of having him there. It is very important and we saw that with the opening try.....

A quick look at some of the stats from that half...

Not much in the penalty count - England's two to Lebanon's three - but the Cedars have had to make 213 tackles to England's 136 and have also missed more than twice as many tackles as Wayne Bennett's side.

  20. 'Lebanon will really come out'published at 09:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

    England 22-6 Lebanon

Here's England's Ryan Hall at the break: " We knew Lebanon had a really gusty start in them and that's what they did.

"They are going to get a bit of a rest and really come out in the second half."
