    Hull KR 12-18 Hull FC

If there was anyone would you'd think might enjoy the fire and brimstone of a derby it's Jake Connor. Agitator in chief for Hull and an extremely talented footballer.

Another flowing move for Hull... danger here...

    Hull KR 12-18 Hull FC

My word! So much incident it's tough to keep up!

Rovers go swarming forward again and a pass out to Ryan Shaw is finished off brilliantly. However, that last pass by Liam Salter sailed forward and it was ruled out.

Frustration for the vocal Rovers contingent, relief for the Hull FC faithful.

    What a humdinger.

Predictable boos for Albert Kelly who makes his way off the field after being hurt in the tackle on James Donaldson.

His invention will be a miss, though he's been fairly quiet so far.

  4. try

TRY Salford 26-10 Catalans Dragonspublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 30 March 2018

    Josh Jones, con Rob Lui.

    And that is surely that.

Straight after the penalty, Salford score again as Josh Jones goes over after another flowing move and Rob Lui converts.

They've been rarities this afternoon, but Salford have shown their quality when it matters.

  5. PENALTYpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 30 March 2018

Salford's lead is up to 10 points as Rob Lui extends their advantage - and takes time out of the game - with a penalty.

    Thomas Minns, con Ryan Shaw

Five minutes to the break and Hull KR have a crucial score.

They went from one side to the other, pounding away at the Hull FC line before a shift to Hull's right edge again yields a score.

Justin Carney smuggled the ball inside for Thomas Minns to score a second. Brave finish.

Would you believe this is still the first-half? We've got eight minutes to go until half-time but this game has had more excitement than a Jerry Bruckheimer epic.

Rovers get a chance close to the line. We're not done yet.

    Jamie Shaul, con Marc Sneyd

Quick shift to the left gives Carlos Tuimavave the space and he puts down the accelerator, opening up the afterburners to skim clear of the Hull KR defence.

With the last man converging, he whipped a pass infield to the supporting Jamie Shaul who has no problem coasting to the line.

    BACK-TO-BACK. Sensational comeback from a sending-off!

  10. try

TRY Salford 18-10 Catalans Dragonspublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 30 March 2018

    Fouad Yaha, con Tony Gigot

Out of nothing Catalans Dragons are back in the game.

Salford were knocking on the door at the other end, but Fouad Yaha picks off a floated pass out wide and goes the length of the pitch to score, and Tony Gigot converts.

  11. try

TRY - Hull KR 6-12 Hull FCpublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 30 March 2018

    Fetuli Talanoa, con Marc Sneyd

Another outstanding finish by this powerful winger who notched up his eighth score of the campaign with a try.

Fetuli Talanoa crept in at the corner under a pile of bodies, and after extensive review the score was given.

Did he have a fingertip in touch? It would have been harsh to chalk off.

    Hull KR 6-6 Hull FC

Huge defence from Hull KR! It looked like Mark Minichiello was about to steam across from a flat pass but Matty Marsh got his shoulder into the ribs and stopped him.

Marsh, and his half partner Chris Atkin starred in the preseason friendly win against their city rivals and they're delivering again.

    Hull KR 6-6 Hull FC

Rovers half-back Chris Atkin is thriving on this game. His role of nudging the team around the field and making sweeping, darting runs is bringing out the best in him.

His latest swish of the brush sees him dink a little kick into the corner to turn Hull round.

Ah... what you can do, I can do better says Marc Sneyd. 40-20 kick! Hull in range.

    Hull KR 6-6 Hull FC

We've only played 20 minutes and I've already written a short novel. It's been frantic.

Hull FC need to regroup and find their rhythm, as they look a bit rattled. Too many errors, their forwards just need to do the basics.

Conversely, Rovers are enjoying themselves, roared on by a partisan crowd. Big clearing run by Justin Carney puts them on the front foot in midfield. Great response, helped by the Faraimo sending-off naturally.

  16. try

    Greg Johnson, con Rob Lui

Is that the score that settles the outcome of this contest?

It's a cracking try too, as Salford sweep forward and cap the move of the match when Rob Lui sends Greg Johnson over in the corner.

Lui adds the extras to give the Red Devils a three-score advantage.

  17. NO TRYpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 30 March 2018

    Hull KR 6-6 Hull FC

    Well. Harsh on Rovers that.

As the play was set up, Maurice Blair as the lead runner makes a dummy run but runs into Jordan Lane, who took the bait.

It was deemed to be obstruction, much to the frustration of Tim Sheens and his players. Hull FC will be relieved.

Big mistake by Hull FC. Fetuli Talanoa knocks on, on the back of a scrum and it gives Rovers field position and head and feed close to the line!

It's a huge opportunity to make their numerical advantage count...

With all that drama going on at Craven Park, I should, of course, tell you that we're back under way at Salford.

There's been no score yet in the early stages of the second half.
