    Michael Shenton, goal Jamie Ellis

No sooner has the pitch invader been dealt with, Castleford get another try on the board.

Michael Shenton touches down and initially referee Chris Kendall gives no try and takes it upstairs to video referee Ben Thaler, who finds no reason for it not to be given.

Sensational stuff. This could be a long night for Leeds. Jamie Ellis adds the extras.

Leeds have certainly got the ability to come back from this deficit.

In this modern era, teams can score two or three tries in a 10-minute block and Leeds can do that with the talent they have all over the field.

Don't write off Leeds just yet but it's going to take some shift in their body language and mentality from the first half.

Leeds are a bit premature in getting the second half going. Chris Kendall hadn't quite blown his whistle yet!

Not only that, but a pitch invader wearing what looked to be just a pair of white underpants runs onto the field to collect the ball and then runs on again when the game actually gets going.

Boos ring around St James' Park as he's carted off by security.

The wins for Wigan and St Helens retains the status quo at the top of the table.

But the Warriors coach Shaun Wane was impressed with his side's display in their win over Warrington.

"That's our best win this year, but it's very hard for me to be satisfied. I want to be happy with it but there's still lots of areas we need to improve on. I always dwell towards them," he said.

"We've beaten a fantastic team there, Warrington are a class team and well coached. We'll be meeting a different team in two weeks' time (in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals), I've got no question about that.

"But I'm going to enjoy today. It was an outstanding win."

That's a killer blow from Jamie Ellis and a kick in the guts for Leeds.

Castleford have shown their class and been clinical in this half and Leeds have been really scrappy and messy.

Jamie Ellis, exactly 50m from the uprights, kicks a fabulous penalty goal to give Castleford a huge 22-point lead against Leeds as the half-time hooter is sounded.

Leeds are well and truly off the boil and will be having a conniption at how this first half has panned out.

Castleford fully deserve their whopping lead. They are halfway to avenging their Super League Grand Final defeat by the Rhinos.

It's a deserved lead for Castleford. They've chipped away, they've been effective, they've been efficient and they've kept it simple.

  9. try

TRY: Castleford 20-0 Leedspublished at 38 mins

    Junior Moors, goal Jamie Ellis

No arguments here, even though initially it looked innocuous.

Junior Moors somehow has the strength to edge the ball towards the line after being hauled back by about three Leeds players.

Jamie Ellis punts the ball right between the sticks to add the extra two.

    Castleford 14-0 Leeds

Brett Ferres knocks on almost on the halfway line and that kind of sums up Leeds' first half tonight.

Castleford have another chance to break and they've got less territory to gain to do it than Leeds would have liked.

Jamie Ellis adds another two points to the Castleford tally and they're looking rather comfortable.

Can they force Leeds into a scoreless first half? Six minutes remain before the break.

Jamie Ellis launches the ball downfield and Jack Walker picks it up deep into the Leeds half once more.

Castleford race on in but once again, he gathers himself and clears the ball towards the halfway line.

    Great stuff from the 18-year-old.

    Castleford 12-0 Leeds

Outstanding stuff from both teams here.

Attack after attack from Leeds is swiftly dealt with by Castleford before Joel Moon cheaply gives the ball away to Jake Webster and the Leeds pressure comes to an abrupt end.

    Castleford 12-0 Leeds

There's an attempt at a 40-20 kick from Castleford and Jack Walker picks the ball up deep and has lots of work to do to halt Cas in their tracks.

Admirably, the Leeds youngster works them back into a counter assault up the other end of the field.

    Castleford 12-0 Leeds

More good news for Leeds, Richie Myler has passed a concussion test and is preparing to come back onto the field.

They will be hoping he can help them make a breakthrough in this game.

    Castleford 12-0 Leeds

    John Kear
Bradford Bulls coach on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

It's been a great start for Castleford and the first quarter has certainly been in their favour in every aspect of the game.

The scoreboard doesn't tell a lie, two clear scores to nil, both down the Castleford left and Leeds' right, and both from a similar field position.

    Alex Foster, goal Jamie Ellis

And that is Castleford into double figures.

Alex Foster, who's playing centre for Cas tonight, works on to some good build-up play from Liam Watts and Adam Milner to cross over.

Jamie Ellis adds the two points and Castleford are looking pretty darn good.

    Castleford 6-0 Leeds

Good news for Leeds Rhinos is that Jack Walker appears to have run off his earlier injury and he's back on the field and seemingly okay for the time being.

Leeds could do with him, they've failed to settle into this game.

    Castleford 6-0 Leeds

Alex Foster runs into the Leeds Rhinos' half almost on his own and is forced down and Castleford win a penalty.

They use the advantage to break towards the line again and Michael Shenton tries to find a way past the Leeds defence but he's held up as the Rhinos win the ball back.

    Jy Hitchcox, goal Jamie Ellis

What was that I was saying about it being a scrappy game so far?

Well clearly Castleford were listening because Jy Hitchcox does well to run in at the corner and beat Kallum Watkins to touch down and put Cas ahead.

Meanwhile, Jamie Ellis kicks the extras for Castleford.
