    Wigan 26-10 Warrington

Wigan's Morgan Escare has somehow missed a drop goal from right in front of the sticks.

This game has it all. Tries, arguments, superb individual performances and now comedy.

Back under way and Wigan pressure Warrington and work their way back upfield but the Wire have it under control.

Ben Murdoch-Masila puts in a tremendous run and has only one Wigan shirt to beat before offloading to Kevin Brown, who is tripped moments later.

    Another Warrington chance goes begging.

    Wigan 26-10 Warrington

Bryson Goodwin tries to offload to one of his Warrington team-mates as he's tackled and in the process he bangs his head on the ground quite badly.

He's up and talking to the medical team on the field, fortunately, but the game is momentarily halted as he walks off the field.

Fabulous stuff from both sides. Ben Murdoch-Masila almost goes through for Warrington right on the verge of the try-line, but he's held up by Wigan who counter.

Liam Farrell breaks upfield but he falters about 20 yards away and the attack is instantly neutralised.

    This is a cracking game.

Josh Charnley is upended almost onto his head by Liam Marshall and Charnley's going nuts. If it weren't for a crowd of players, that could have turned nasty.

That was very naughty from Marshall. Television replays show it was bad, but maybe not quite enough for a spell in the bin.

Warrington haven't lost since their defeat by St Helens on 9 March. Since then they've stormed their way to third in Super League and stabilised some pretty iffy early season form.

That being said, they're going to have to do something very special indeed to inspire a comeback and avoid a first defeat for over two months today.

Wigan had no right to score there - it was purely down to Liam Marshall's pace.

    Boy, can he run!

You can buy size, you can buy power, but in your outside backs you can't beat pace.

    What. A. Sensational. Try.

Liam Marshall runs and runs and runs down the left wing, beating Warrington man after man. An incredible run is halted only by Josh Charnley clipping his legs, but he offloads to George Williams who's in support to run in.

Sam Tomkins is off target with the extras, but there won't be many complaints from the Wigan faithful in attendance.

It's against the run of play from the first 12 minutes of the second half, but it's a massive try for Wigan.

It's one for character, strength and determination for Wigan.

John Bateman take a bow. The Wigan forward shimmies his way past the Warrington backline and this second half has been turned on its head.

What a lovely solo try. He touches down right under the posts and Sam Tomkins easily slots in the extras.

Credit to Warrington. They've started this second half much, much stronger than Wigan.

The Cherry and Whites try and regain their footing for the first time since the break, as they run in on the Warrington defence.

But the Wire are resolute and refuse to budge as Wigan's six tackles tick away.

    Wigan 16-10 Warrington

Josh Charnley tries to run almost the length of the field as he picks up the ball deep into Warrington's half.

He makes it just past the halfway line before he's successfully halted by Sam Tomkins.

That would have been some try if he'd found a way through!

    Wigan 16-10 Warrington

Josh Charnley seems destined to score against his former side today and he comes close to a ninth try in 13 games for Warrington since crossing codes from Sale Sharks earlier this year.

He attempts to get on to a Stefan Ratchford grubber kick into the corner, but there's too much momentum on it and Liam Marshall beats it away.

Liam Marshall mistimes his jump to collect a high ball and spills it, knocking on in the process.

Warrington win back possession and throw everything at Wigan. An early try could be so vital and they know it.

Harvey Livett works a way through and he finds the ground, but does the ball? Replays show it's held up by his own thigh. No try given.

History was made today as Toronto Wolfpack took on Toulouse Olympique XIII in a top-of-the-table Championship clash at St James' Park.

It was the first time that a second tier fixture has opened the Magic Weekend and what a game it was.

Toronto ran in eight tries as the Canadian table-toppers beat second-placed Toulouse 43-30 to move five points clear at the summit.

The whole trend of the game changed on one strong defensive set from Wigan.

It's been very even but I think Wigan have edged it and the scoreline reflects the game.

    Wigan 16-10 Warrington

Oliver Gildart works onto an advantage played by the referee following a high tackle from Tyrone Roberts and he tries to make the ball available to one of his teammates and wins a penalty in the process.

Sam Tomkins kicks another two points, his second penalty goal of the match so far, and the Wigan move six points clear of the Wire at the half-time hooter.

Wigan will be very disappointed with that.

They had bodies there but nobody wanted to put their body on the ball and clear it up. From a Wigan point of view that is really soft defence.

    Stefan Ratchford, goal Bryson Goodwin

Game on! What a try for the Wire! They deserve that.

After Bryson Goodwin's try attempt, Warrington do well to keep the ball and they don't give up as they endeavour to get back into this game.

Stefan Ratchford easily grounds the ball and could this help them begin to narrow the deficit? Goodwin adds another two points. They're on their way.
