Ah Leeds' frustrations are now boiling over as Ash Handley is sent to the bin for dissent having intercepted right on his own try line from an offside position after Huddersfield pressed the Rhinos.

That yellow card has come after a succession of penalties given against Leeds and a warning from referee Robert Hicks.

James Donaldson is now sitting on the sidelines having been taken off on a stretcher earlier on.

The Leeds man is said to have a lower back injury but fortunately it's not serious.

Great news.

Huddersfield break upfield yet again from a valiant Leeds break to try to force a try of their own.

However Jake Wardle spills his reception of a quickfire offload and Leeds win another set of six but the Rhinos concede a cheap penalty soon after.

As previously mentioned earlier in our live text coverage, Toronto Wolfpack have dropped out of Super League in 2020, after the off-field impacts of coronavirus made their position untenable from a financial and logistical standpoint.

Today's double-header should have been a triple, with Hull KR set to take on the Canadians before their stepping down.

Dialogue continues as to whether the Wolfpack will return in 2021 as proposed, but Rugby Football League chief executive Ralph Rimmer understands the mitigating circumstances behind this season's withdrawal.

"I have every sympathy for them," he told BBC Radio 5 Live. "No home games possible this season, they didn't have access to the government support [£16m loan] we managed to secure and they aren't beneficiaries of the central distribution so all in all absolutely understood.

"It's disappointing, nevertheless we're here today and we're looking and feeling really good today."

Earlier, in the first part of today's double-header, St Helens turned in a superb performance to see off Catalans Dragons.

Full credit to Huddersfield. They've done their homework defensively, they know Leeds' threats and shut those down, and been absolutely incisive.

The three or four times they've had the ball in Leeds' 20-metre area, they've scored three tries.

That's the hooter and what a half of action. Huddersfield have bossed that opening 40 minutes and as it stands, they're heading for the top of Super League.

Leeds have some serious thinking to do. They've been off the pace for much of that half.

Aidan Sezer finally kicks some points for Huddersfield and looks like they're taking an eight-point lead in with them at the break.

Lee Gaskell is midway through the Leeds half and punts the ball upfield and is blocked off by Alex Mellor.

Huddersfield win a penalty in kicking range. This could be going from bad to worse for Leeds.

Luke Gale looks to have weaved a way through on Leeds' fifth tackle and he works the ball over the line.

However referee Robert Hicks blows his whistle for obstruction in the build-up and Gale is livid.
