It's been a day of highs and lows, with Hull valiantly battling against a rampant Wigan side coming after an incredible advert for rugby league as Warrington edged out St Helens.

But for now, that's where we'll leave things. Thank you for joining us.

    FT: Hull FC 4-36 Wigan

Wigan Warriors back Bevan French told BBC Sport:

"We knew what Hull were capable of and it was important to get a good start, which made it a lot easier.

"We changed our game plan after Hull KR and it was important that completion rates were high in the first 20 minutes.

"We wanted to put some practice in to the grind and kicking to the corners, but we fell away a bit from the game plan. We have a lot to work on for next week."

Credit to Hull to avoid being nilled and for Wigan for putting on as assured a performance as you could hope for.

But this hasn't lived up to what we were treated to in the earlier tie, has it?
