    Warrington 16-14 St Helens

Warrington are forced to weather the storm of two sets of six from St Helens after Matty Ashton's knock-on.

Somehow they hold on by the skin of their teeth and they win the ball back from a risky kick under the posts from the restart.

    Brilliant stuff.

Regan Grace really is one of the best players in either rugby code and that try is just another reminder of that.

Meanwhile, Matty Ashton spills the ball from the restart and that's a big mistake from the Warrington youngster.

Saints are on the attack inside their 10.

    Regan Grace, goal Lachlan Coote

Regan Grace is in again for St Helens at the corner and Chris Kendall sends it to the video referee.

Replays show he grounds the ball successfully, but is his body in touch before he does so?

He isn't and that is another stunning try from the Welshman. He really is sensational. Lachlan Coote makes it a two-point game.

"It's still in the balance here. I don't imagine it is a match-winning lead at this stage, St Helens have firepower all over the field.

A golden chance for Warrington to surely create an unassailable lead fizzles out as Anthony Gelling spills the ball before he can run in at the corner.

This game is in the balance still, but Saints need to score and soon.

Good lord that set restart hooter is loud. I'm having visions of Andy sounding his air horn every time Dwight makes a sale in The Office.

Meanwhile, Warrington drive up the other end of the field and have another set of six on St Helens' 10-metre line.

Surely they can make it count!

Regan Grace has the ball down in the corner for St Helens as the winger looks to score one of his trademark quickfire tries.

Blake Austin pushes him in to touch and in the process, Grace drops the ball before he manages to ground it.

That is stunning defending from Warrington. Grace normally scores those with ease.

Great work from Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook to bolster his way through for St Helens but Warrington eventually hold him up.

The ball is getting a fair bit of travel at the minute, but no score to either side since the restart.

    How long will that last?

Matty Lees dives for a loose ball as St Helens dart upfield yet again, however he knocks on in the process, nulifying their attack.

Meanwhile, Jake Mamo tries to work another cross-field Warrington try but his last-minute offload to Stefan Ratchford is judged to be forward.

    Frantic I tell you, frantic!

Great defending from Toby King to deny Morgan Knowles right on the try-line!

The St Helens man looked clean through to touch down but King was having none of it.

Tim Galsworthy: Superb first half Wire. We weren’t taking our chances to start with, but we persevered and it paid dividends. Great performances from Gelling and Daz Clark, amongst others, so far. Keep going Warrington because Saints will come back into this.

Tim Probert: That was an almost perfect half of of creative rugby league between two top sides. Superb entertainment

Jason: That was a cracking half of rugby league. Saints need to tidy up their discipline if they are going to keep in the contest, but both sides have been really good.

Eric: Sensational half of rugby. There's going to be some knackered players if they keep this up for another 40.

"Warrington are a manifestation of chaos, the way that they play is very chaotic. The way they have been offloading the ball, chancing their arm, we have been up holding teeth a little, but it has paid off for them. It has forced St Helens to defend."

Warrington have another! Where has this come from?! Two tries in three minutes and Matty Ashton take a bow.

Usually it's Regan Grace who runs in from miles out but Ashton gallops from halfway to touch down.

    Stefan Ratchford adds the two.
