Manu Ma'u gets a shoulder in on the chin of Joe Burgess during a tackle and the Wigan winger receives some treatment.

He's cleared to carry on but replays showed it was a big hit.

Leeds awaits the winner of this match in two weeks' time and, at this stage, it looks likely that Wigan will meet them in the semi-final if they can preserve their lead here.

It's been an even few minutes at the start of this half, but the wind is beginning to pick up at the AJ Bell Stadium.

    Will that play a part?

We are back under way at the AJ Bell and Hull have a task on their hands if they are to avoid being knocked out of the Challenge Cup, here.

Three games in nine days is no joke, however, and there is an understandable lethargy about them.

    Joe Burgess

My word Joe Burgess take a bow!

Just as Hull make a last-ditch attack and as the half-time hooter sounds, Burgess intercepts and runs almost the length of the field to run in another Wigan try.

I feel out of breath just watching that! Hull look stunned. Zak Hardaker misses the two.

Merton: Tony Smith with his tactics shown the blue print how to over come Wigan the other week... And it’s simple offloads that beats Wigan. Why have these other teams not followed Tony Smith’s tactics when playing Wigan?

It certainly was as special win for Hull KR in Super League a few weeks ago now.

    Bevan French, goal Zak Hardaker

Dom Manfredi has failed his head injury assessment and he will play no further part in this match.

But there's cause for celebration from Wigan as Bevan French gets try number two in some style soon after that news comes through.

It comes courtesy of an absolutely stunning kick from Zak Hardaker which curls then bounces into the onrushing French's hands. Hardaker then adds the two.

Sam Powell is now forced off for Wigan to receive a head injury assessment just minutes after Dom Manfredi was also hauled off.

Tevita Satae bolsters his way through towards the Wigan try-line as Hull desperately try to get some points on the board.

He's held up inches from touching down thanks to a cracking tackle from Sam Powell, while four of his Wigan teammates led by try-scorers Liam Farrell and Bevan French, thwart his efforts.

Great work from Connor Wynne as he drives through the Wigan defence to try and work a much-needed try.

A speculative kick follows on the fifth tackle which Wigan hastily sweep out.

    Better stuff from Hull, this.

    Hull FC 0-16 Wigan

Dom Manfredi is forced off with Joe Greenwood coming on in his place.

Manfredi is almost certainly going for a head injury assessment from a Hull tackle and Bureta Faraimo receives a new shirt during the break that follows.

    Fingers crossed Manfredi is okay.

Have Hull got anything in the locker to counter this dominant display from Wigan in the first half?

Well, try as they might, it's not going particularly well for them so far. However, they drive towards the line on another set of six.

But Jake Connor spills the ball again and the attack ends before it begins.

    Hull FC 0-16 Wigan

Mahe Fonua looks to turn and race onto a loose ball in a rare Hull attack after the ball bounces off Oliver Gildart's head.

What is it with today's fixtures and players either wilfully or inadvertently heading the ball?!

Unfortunately for the Hull winger, he can't get to the ball in time to ground for a valuable try.
