Despite being denied the chance to deny Wigan their League Leaders' Shield win when their regular season match against Catalans was called off, St Helens had another chance to meet them.

Last week, having clinched a semi-final spot by virtue of their second-placed regular season finish, Saints met the French side hoping to deny them a shot at their first Grand Final.

Under Justin Holbrook, St Helens won last season's Grand Final, and ensured they would go to their second successive end-of-season showpiece after taking apart the Dragons.

A whopping 48-2 victory saw them set up their position tonight. But can they make it two Grand Final wins from two?

On the way to the Grand Final, Wigan claimed their fifth League Leaders' Shield win since 2012 after the season was curtailed early due to Covid-19.

An outbreak at Hull KR saw the end of the season brought forward, allowing the Warriors to lift the title thanks to their win against Huddersfield.

Claiming top spot meant that Wigan went straight through to last week's play-off semi-finals, where they dominated Hull FC.

Like their opponents tonight, Wigan kept Hull to just two points in the semi-final, while free scoring their way to the final.
