Good question Edd - but both Wales and England will hope to have something to say about that tomorrow.

The winner of that game will join Ireland and France - who meet in the final weekend in Paris - on three wins and a shot at the title on the final weekend.

Join me tomorrow for what's been the most eagerly anticipated match of the weekend - it can't live up to today's rollercoaster of emotion surely.

"I think Wales are the slightly better side but the match being at Twickenham negates it. It will be such a close match tomorrow, and it will depend on someone like George North creating something out of nothing."

"Ireland are the best team in the championship, but England have now got a resilience which they didn't have last year. They became pockets of individuals in Cardiff last year, but now that doesn't happen. Now they know exactly what they're trying to do. Tomorrow, we'll see two very top-class defensive organisations against each other, and it'll be one or two tiny opportunities that are taken that will make the difference."

    A belter of a day, n'est pas?

And it could be even more tasty tomorrow as Wales travel to Twickenham to play England. There's a bit of history there and after last year's thumping win for Wales, which gave them the title and ended England's Grand Slam bid, there will be even greater edge than usual.

France centre Mathieu Bastareaud on BBC Red Button: "It was important for us to win today, because the game against Wales was a disaster. We are happy today, though we know we are not perfect. I only thought we might win this game at the end. It was hard, and the Scottish team were very strong today, with good kicking from Hogg and Weir. So maybe we are lucky."

    Scotland coach Scott Johnson:

"It's a fickle world, in sport. Against Italy we benefited from it, but this week it was France. We played pretty good rugby but we should have won that game - we let ourselves down.

"It was the penalty count, every time we were under pressure we lost it again. We showed good intent and the scoreboard does not reflect the effort. There is a naivety with this team but we will grow and become better for it, even if we're hurting now.

"We played with great intent today and I like that, I like that endeavour. We're not just trying to win ugly, we're trying to win well. Our scrum stood up and we showed we can compete, and our set pieces were better.

"We've just got some ills in our game we need to fix. I won't complain about the effort, resolve or intent. We've got a job to do against Wales - we want to finish on a high. Hopefully it'll be a good game to watch next weekend."

    Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg:

"The boys are bitterly disappointed in the changing rooms. We felt we controlled the ball much better than France did, and in the first 20 minutes they were not in it.

"I think overall it was a good performance, but it's really disappointing we couldn't get over the line. It's all about the end results, and myself and the boys are gutted - that's one that's slipped away from us.

"After winning in Italy last time it was a great feeling and now we're back where we started - this is a horrible feeling. But we believe we can get a result against Wales- they'll want to lift the trophy next week but we will try to spoil their party."

"There is such frustration here inside Murrayfield. This will be very difficult for the players, who played very well but come off the field having lost to France who really didn't play well."

Former Wales fly-half on BBC Red Button

"France really didn't offer anything - there was no structure or pattern in their play, with nobody taking charge. Scotland just needed to operate higher up the field. They had kicking opportunities but they were just too far away.

"Scotland will be wondering how they lost that game when they were in complete control against a poor French side. You don't have to win pretty - I tell you, if you win in international rugby any game is pretty."

France coach Philippe Saint Andre: "We take the win, I think. Fair play to Scotland, they play very well with a lot of spirit. They score two good tries. Our discipline was good and at the end we managed to win but I can't say it was our best game. But that is three wins in four and we'll prepare for a big game against Ireland.

"In the first half we were very close to the line two or three times and we tried to score too quickly with silly passes. We need to improve our line-out but we must be very positive. I hope the Brian O'Driscoll party was today in Dublin, not next week at the Stade de France."

"The line-out was a potent attacking part of Scotland's game, the scrum held up well. Everything was in place to put France away and that will be the huge disappointment - that in the end the defeat was in Scotland's hands, not France's.

"Scotland got a lot right today. They should be hard on themselves about not finishing the game off, and what was crucial was the penalty count against them in the last 10 minutes. That was the difference between winning and losing. They had control of France.

"If they can understand that and shape up against Wales with a good performance, then you can see it's a good group of Scottish players."

    The agony and the ecstacy.

For Scotland there is only despair, as a vanishingly rare victory over France eludes them at the last.

But for Ireland there is total and utter delight as they not only win to keep their title hopes firmly on track, but the legendary Brian O'Driscoll says farewell to Dublin in style.

The 35-year-old centre marks his final Test at the Aviva Stadium by not only setting a new record for international caps - 140 - but also wins the man of the match award for a display full of skill and invention that was cheered to the rafters by the adoring Irish faithful.

"This is one of most disappointing days I've had in a Scotland jersey. We gave everything but we were very unlucky at the end there. I'm hugely proud of the guys. They did really well, the front row in particular against a French side who came here to beat us up at the set piece but we dominated the game."

"Unbelievable. Scotland were in total control and should have won that game. They changed their game a little bit - they should have kept on driving up the middle and kept up the kicking game. One interception drained all their confidence away. They will look back and think, 'how on earth did they lose this game?'"
