Ben Morgan is taken off on a stretcher, while receiving the applause of the Kingsholm crowd.

He's moving around, but looks pretty shaken up. We'll be keen to get an update on his condition as son as we can - as will Stuart Lancaster.

  2. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

Ben Morgan has been receiving treatment for a few minutes now.

The immediate worry, of course, is his health. But it also might have England supporters twitching, with the Six Nations around the corner.

  3. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

Gloucester's Ben Morgan looks in a bad way. The England number eight is getting some gas and air on the pitch with the game brought to a halt.

  4. No try (Hook)published at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

I almost had to eat my words. Gloucester come straight back at Saracens and James Hook dives for the line. He's inches away but the replays show he's not made it.

BBC Radio 5 live reporter at Kingsholm

"No team in the Premiership does the 'smash-and-grab' quite like Saracens, and they are at it again here. Two mauls, two tries, and now Gloucester have it all to do."

  6. Try (B Vunipola, missed con Goode)published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

Saracens kill some minutes when they win a penalty from the scrum. And not only that, they build up a bit of steam with the catch and drive from the subsequent line-out.

Tom Savage comes in from the side and gets a yellow card for his trouble.

And before you know it Saracens are powering through with the maul and Billy Vunipola touches down in the middle of it all.

So much for that Gloucester barrage.

  8. Kick-offpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

James Hook gets Gloucester underway. It comes straight back and the hosts look to build.

  9. Postpublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

As it stands, Saracens will be nudging themselves into second place above Bath on points difference. Gloucester are heading for a third loss in four games.

It's hanging in the balance this one though - and with Sarries' David Strettle missing for the first 10 minutes of the second half, you'd expect the home side to mean business.

It's been a game for the last-minute men so far.

Dan Robson, Gloucester's try scorer, was added to the XV moments before kick-off.

And Alex Goode was shifted from full-back to fly-half after the news that Owen Farrell has a minor strain.

Moral of the story? Arrive at parties late - you'll be way cooler and might even leave with a left over six-pack of beer. I think that metaphor works, on some level.

    Tom Bradshaw
    BBC Sport at Kingsholm

"I suspect that Gloucester will need more than the odd moment of brilliance if they're to end their poor home run. Dan Robson's try was a thing of beauty, but James Hook needs to start kicking his goals and Gloucester need to protect the ball better in the Sarries 22.

"For their part, Saracens need to smarten up their act at the breakdown, otherwise they could quickly find that they have another player joining David Strettle in the bin."

Come on then, let's hear it. What did you make of Dan Robson's try? Rating out of 10? I'd give it an eight all day long.

Gloucester fans, sad he's leaving in the summer?

And what about Saracens? They're winning, without really doing too much.

James Hook lives up to his name by hooking the penalty wide. That's a minute or two after he missed the conversion from Dan Robson's try.

His wasted efforts mean Gloucester go into the changing room trailing by two points at half-time.

In all honesty, they should be in front.

  15. Sin-bin (Strettle)published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

JP Doyle warned them, and he's followed through on his promise.

David Strettle knocks on and the referee says it was on purpose. The England wing will be missing for the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Oh, this is special. Super special.

Dan Robson only found out he was playing a few minutes before kick-off, when Greig Laidaw pulled out with injury.

And he's just dinked a box kick over the Saracens back line, into the corner, and scampered on to it just in the nick of time to get a hand on to it.

He won't be a Gloucester player next season by the way, as he confirmed this week he will be heading to Wasps in the summer.

  18. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

Billy Vunipola is penalised at the breakdown this time. That's the cue for JP Doyle to tell Sarries skipper Kelly Brown that he is close to seeing a team-mate go to the sin-bin.

    Chris Jones
BBC Radio 5 live reporter at Kingsholm

"Alex Goode is used to stepping up to fly-half at late notice. At Bath last season he was man of the match after Charlie Hodgson pulled out 10 minutes ahead of kick-off - and he's looking similarly assured this evening."

  20. Missed Penalty (Hook)published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2015

It might be one of those nights for the Cherry and Whites.

Jim Hamilton doesn't roll away, so James Hook lines up his third penalty of the game. It strikes the inside of the post and comes back out. Unlucky.
