Quote MessageWales stayed in the game. They played well for periods but stayed in it through our indiscipline. Biggar is a class kicker and then they get the try and we're chasing the game. Now is not the time to talk about it with the players but we will reinforce the indiscipline with the players on Monday. In hindsight it [not kicking for goal in the 78th minute] was wrong. Players have to make decision on the field. It was a huge moment but the game should have been done and dusted. You can't get a message on so it is irrelevant what I think. Games aren't won and lost on one decision. We played well for long periods so to come away with a loss is a gutting. It is still all to play for but this has made it hard work.
Stuart Lancaster, England head coach
England edged the possession and territory stats, with Wales only spending about five minutes of the entire match inside the hosts' 22 - but what a clinical five minutes that was.

If you missed it - here's how points were added to the scorebaord.
England 25-28 Wales
England lost after leading by seven points at half-time. The last time they surrendered as big a half-time lead against any side was in February 2008 when Wales came from 10 points down after 40 minutes to win 26-19. That was at Twickenham, a comeback led by Mike Phillips and Lee Byrne.
There were 14 kicks attempted from the tee this evening, each one of them successful. Twenty-three points from Dan Biggar's boot, keeping his team in the game.
What odds on Owen Farrell or George Ford making it 15 from 15 if Chris Robshaw's decision at the very end had been a different one?
England 25-28 Wales
Taulupe Faletau and Sam Warburton led Wales' second-half charge with Faletau ubiquitous in defence and attack. The number eight won two turnovers, and Dan Lydiate - with a match-high 13 tackles before he was substituted - should also be mentioned. Wales' back-row trinity to the fore.
England 25-28 Wales
England were the better team in the first half. Wales were under the cosh for a period in the second half with injuries to Scott Williams and Liam Williams - but Stuart Lancaster's men weren't ruthless enough to kill off their wounded prey.
But looking ahead to Fiji next Friday night, what sort of team will Warren Gatland be able to select? Full-back is a problem position as is outside centre.

Quote MessageIt is a combination of individual skills and individual decision-making on the pitch. That has let England down. Going for the corner instead of goal. At the minimum, after a bad day at the office, you come away with a result. It was mystifying, as was the indiscipline. Kicking the ball away was mystifying. You have to change your tactics. Wales had weakness and used it to their advantage. It motivated them. I'll never forget this game because very rarely do you see such spirit in adversity away from home. This is a massive, if not their biggest ever, win.
Gareth Charles
BBC Wales rugby commentator on BBC Radio Wales
"They called it the group of death, and it went to the death, and Wales are the ones who came out alive and kicking."
England 25-28 Wales
What of that decision to kick to touch instead of aiming at the posts? A draw doesn't seem so bad now. England's midfield seemed to lack ballast once Sam Burgess was taken off... and with George North in the centre giving Wales impetus it was in the closing stages that they perhaps needed him the most.
England 25-28 Wales
Somehow Wales pulled the magic tricks of all magic tricks out of the bag in that second half. They looked down and out, men were wounded, but they gambled, climbed out of hell one inch at a time and secured a memorable victory.
Across the 80 minutes, England made more metres (431-369), made more carries (107-99), made more clean breaks (6-4) and made more offloads (9-6).
But Wales scored more points.

Quote MessageI am absolutely delighted. For 50 minutes, Wales weren't in the game and their set-piece wasn't functioning. Then we had the injuries. But they found the energy and that bit of belief and confidence. The momentum came and that was a remarkable finish.
