Quote MessageWales have to look beyond this game as well now. The injury situation is desperate.
Wales' injury list lengthens.
Hallam Amos injured his arm in a hand-off with Owen Farrell... Liam Williams departing on a stretcher... A forward will have to move to the Welsh backline. Incredible,
Rhys Priestland and Lloyd Williams come on.

Quote MessageThat was some fantastic work from England. Tom Youngs with perhaps just one pass too many.
Jonny May, Richard Wigglesworth and Chris Robshaw combine to take England into the enemy's 22... The ball bobbling from one side to the other... it's loose and messy... breathless and frantic... Hallam Amos thinks he has a chance to sprint from his own 22, but the referee Jerome Garce blows his whistle to end a see-saw sequence.

This game continues to to and fro and fro and to. England edge the possession stats once more, but not much of the play has come inside either team's 22. Stuart Lancaster's men have conceded 11 penalties to Wales' eight and that's how Wales have dragged themselves back to contention.
Dan Bigger with a pressure-relieving kick to touch which takes his team to halfway. The play a little loose from the line-out, but Taulupe Faletau drives forwards, Wales on the front foot... Liam Williams going through the gears, but Owen Farrell defending brilliantly, getting man and ball. Oof.
The stretcher is brought on and Scott Williams looks to have played his last minute in this match. Wales have already lost Jonathan Davies and Cory Allen to injury. Alex Cuthbert is his replacement, which suggests George North will move to outside centre.

Quote MessageIt looks bad for Williams. We've seen injuries already. Wales have been unlucky with injuries to key players. Immediately, the medics are on and have looked to the touchline for the stretcher.
England have now made more tackles than Wales (75 to 68) in this match, but flanker Dan Lydiate is topping the individual tackling charts.

Quote MessageI think Watson lost his patience. That kick through when you are all going for it... you need to leave the sliding defender alone and let him get to his feet.
Wales' line-out functioning... Dan Biggar with a looped pass to George North... the winger gains territory... Wales switch play, but they lose possession - and Anthony Watson kicks ahead and it's a 60m race between the winger and Hallam Amos!!
Amos covers, and when Gareth Davies clears he is tackled in the air by Owen Farrell - penalty Wales, and a big let-off.
Earlier in the move, Brad Barritt with what might be a late tackle on Scott Williams. It doesn't look good for the Scarlet. That could be another centre out for Wales, although it doesn't look like Barritt made much contact.

Richard Wigglesworth on for Ben Youngs, by the way, and the scrum-half's left foot gets his team out of their own 22. Another change in England's pack, Mako Vunipola on for Joe Marler at loose-head.
Wales were on life support, but they've found some life and we're at a critical stage. Wales with a line-out a fraction outside England's 22.

Quote MessageWe haven't seen much of George North over the last 18 months but you take your eyes off him for a minute and he can step up. What a difference a big charge from your talisman can make. Wales are right in this game.
