  1. England 19-9 Walespublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 26 September 2015

Another indication of how tight this match has been - it's 52-52 for tackles made, 9-9 for tackles missed and 4-3 in Wales' advantage for turnovers won.

Not much in it, then, apart from on the scoreboard. Although that might be about to change...

Gareth Davies with a canny quick free-kick... the men in red trying to get their backline rolling... Liam Williams extends his stride... the Welshmen recycling.. Tom Wood not rolling away in the tackle. Dan Biggar grabs the ball. This is his stage.

Ben Youngs zig-zags from his own 22... decibels rise inside Twickenham... the scrum-half finds Anthony Watson... A poor kick from Sam Burgess gives Wales some respite, though, before another wave of white-shirted attack forms.

It is a tough machine to stop at the moment, this England side. They are very pragmatic in their approach, not making many errors.

    England 19-9 Wales

England's faithful spark a rousing chorus of Swing Low while Owen Farrell goes through his routine. He shouldn't miss. He doesn't. England on the up.

England's forwards setting up a sturdy foundation for the backline... Ben Youngs bossing his forwards before releasing Owen Farrell for an up-and-under, but the referee has piped up for an earlier transgression and Farrell will have an opportunity to extend the home side's lead.

We're off again and there's one shuffle to the England pack, Joe Launchbury coming on for Courtney Laws who seems to have a knee injury.

    "Which shirt are you wearing?"

"England. No, Wales. No, England. No, Wales. Definitely Wales."

    "Have you learnt the anthem?"

    "Err..."

"When it did open up, Wales looked to be the far the more dangerous side, but a big concern for Wales is Ben Youngs... I'm exhausted just watching it, brilliant first half."

So how have England's latest new-look centre partnership gone so far?

Brad Barritt is certainly living up to his reputation as a mean defender - he's made fewer carries than any other player in England's backline, and made no metres whatsoever, but is at least topping the tackling charts.

Scott Williams (48m) has made the most metres out of anyone, thanks to that barnstorming late run.

Wales have slowly clawed their way back into the contest, with the possession stats now all square.

Their back three are also all now into double figures for metres gained, having not seen a huge amount of the ball during the first quarter. It's all set up nicely for a smash hit second half.

There is room for brains and not just the brawn. Whoever uses the top two inches to their advantage in this second half will end up on top.

I can see Ken Owens being given a chance in the next 40. If Wales can shore up the scrum, psychologically it will give the side a better mood. England look full of confidence. They are high of tempo and pace and they deservedly lead. But it is still only one score.

At 35 minutes Wales were staring into a black hole but that Scott Williams dash  - and the Dan Biggar penalty which followed - has given the 20,000 travelling Welshmen at Twickenham hope.

A chance for Dan Biggar to reduce the arrears, English hands in the ruck. The outside-half is in front of the posts, he should be able to kick it blindfolded. He tests the direction of the wind - and then bisects the posts.
