I would have taken that all day long, 17-6 at half-time with two tries on the board. Wales have been mostly in control and Matthew Morgan has been incredibly dangerous - Fiji haven't kicked to him and tested him in the air. Dan Biggar has been Superman.

Not sure how many Fijians are actually in the ground, but there are a lot of people supporting the team.

The cheer that greeted the demolition of the Wales scrum and the resultant three points from the boot of Ben Volavola suggests the neutrals are on the side of the Pacific Island side.

Fiji offending at the ruck, Dan Biggar with a touchfinder into Fiji's 22... Sam Warburton putting the ball up his jumper, as they say, as Wales attempt to overpower in the drive. But Fiji are holding firm, nick the ball, and that's that for this half.

A couple of the Fijians reckon the Australian scrum was stronger than the England one, so that should be interesting at Twickenham on Saturday night.

Gethin Jenkins having a torrid time in the scrum. The Wales prop falls to the ground, leaving John Lacey with little option but to award Fiji the penalty and Ben Volavola is dead eyed from the tee.

Classic Fijian play there - lucky for Wales it was a tight-head who slowed it down. But look at Sam Warburton and Dan Lydiate tracking back there, it's as much about what you do without the ball as with it.

It's been a good first half by Wales but one sniff of a chance and this Fijian side could take advantage. Wales have blown a couple of chances and they will be aware Fiji came back strongly last week."

Fiji turn defence into attack at lighting speed. Dan Lydiate loses the ball in contact and giant winger Asaeli Tikoirotuma zig-zags down the wing... bounces off Matthew Morgan... the men in white are in Wales' 22, the home defence in disarray - but Fiji mess up. A toot of John Lacey's whistle and Wales have put-in at the scrum.

The crowd singing Land of My Fathers... Alun Wyn Jones as reliable as ever in the line-out, presenting his backline with a honeyed platform... forward the men in black go towards the Fijian 22.

The big screen shows a smiling Prince William, specs on, red scarf around his Royal neck, and the crowd cheer but there's no time for celebrity spotting because the fleet-footed Matthew Morgan is again weaving between Fijian defenders

Alun Wyn Jones with the offload... Dan Biggar to Tyler Morgan who is held up an inch from the line... Scott Baldwin picks up and wriggles over and the TMO awards the try.

Dan Biggar's twitchy routine as successful as ever, the outside-half bisecting the posts from near the touchline.

Dan Biggar with the up-and-under but Ben Volavola once again gets the better of Alex Cuthbert under the high ball. Missed tackles from Wales giving Fiji the chance to offload and that's dangerous.

  14. Try, try againpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 1 October 2015

    Wales 10-3 Fiji

    Gareth Charles

Wales need a couple more tries to take the pressure off, one before half-time would definitely be welcome.

That was poor discipline. I was expecting a yellow card for Bradley Davies. As good as Fiji's defence has been, Wales need to be more disciplined."

The TMO is also looking at a potential neck grab. Bradley Davies the man under scrutiny. The lock, blood still gushing from his hooter, concedes the penalty but is allowed to remain on the pitch. Was it a try? We'll never know. A frustrated Warren Gatland slaps his knee, the crowd hiss...

I don't understand John Lacey there, he's as close as anyone but he's gone to the TMO

  18. Wales 10-3 Fijipublished at 28 min

Sam Warburton attempts to crash over the line but he's a nose short of the whitewash... Wales go down the blindside... Jamie Roberts is stopped short... George North has a go... he's over the line but was it a try? What does the TMO say? There are no celebrations...

  19. Davies driving Walespublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 1 October 2015

    Wales 10-3 Fiji

Wales' Gareth Davies has made a strong start to this game, including scoring that important opening try... no sign of that feared injury either.

Fijian hands in the ruck, Timoci Nagusa looks innocently at John Lacey but there's no fooling the referee. Alex Cuthert returns, as does Bradley Davies. Concerns over scrum-half Gareth Davies' fitness but he remains on the field.

Wales with a line-out in Fiji's 22... they catch and drive...
