  1. Matthew Morgan the new Shane Williams?published at 16:25

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

It should be easy to spot Wales full-back Matthew Morgan. Standing at a diminutive 5ft 7in he will look Lilliputian in a field full of giants.

His side-steps and change of pace will also remind Wales fans of another small but effective player, Shane Williams.

"One of the best things with Matthew's selection is the fact the whole of Wales can see the strengths he's got and can identify with him as a Wales player of old with that swing of the hips, that extra bit of magic, something different," says Wales forwards coach Robin McBryde.

He had to chop 'n change, he had no choice. Warren Gatland has made three alterations to the team which beat England.

Tyler Morgan takes over at centre from Scott Williams (knee) and Alex Cuthbert benefits from Hallam Amos's shoulder dislocation.

At full-back, Matthew Morgan steps in for the concussed Liam Williams, while James Hook - a late call-up to the squad - is on the bench.

Leigh Halfpenny has been talking to BBC Wales and is full of praise for Dan Biggar, the man who has taken over his kicking role for Wales.

"I love kicking for Wales, It was a dream of mine growing up and it’s been a huge privilege,” he says. “Dan’s doing an unbelievable job and I’m really pleased to see him do so well.

“Ultimately, I’m happy either way as long as it’s good for the team.

“When I get back playing I want to try to get back kicking, but whoever is the kicker, I’m sure will do a fantastic job for Wales."

  7. A knockout team talkpublished at 16:00

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

As we've already touched upon, former world champion boxer Joe Calzaghe visited Wales' training base this week to give the squad a sneak preview of his film, Mr Calzaghe, and have an informal chat with Sam Warburton and his merry men.

What was the reaction to Calzaghe's words? Wales forwards coach Robin McBryde said: "It was great to have some respite from the rugby and talk to one of the greatest boxers in the world. Tom Jones one week, Joe Calzaghe the next week, there’s pressure on who comes next week!”

(We've already sorted that one out, Robin, see our 15:15 entry...)

"The party has started early on Cardiff Blues' pitch, which is next to the Millennium Stadium and where the Fanzone is in full swing in the October sunshine.

"A Fijian guitar band is serenading the mostly red-shirted fans who are happy to enter into the spirit of another World Cup day in Cardiff.

"Unsurprisingly, the crowd are slow going in to the ground. You can't blame them - the roof is closed and the sun is shining."

Dan Biggar's 23-point haul against England was the most by a Welshman at a World Cup match. For what it's worth, the Ospreys man needs seven points to become the top points scorer in the World Cup so far.

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

Talking of Dan Biggar... the outside-half's idiosyncratic kicking routine caused a social media stir, external after Saturday's win over England with many likening his pre-kick rituals - two pats on the chest, a flick of the hair -  to 90s dance craze the Macarena., external

"I’ve been taking a bit of stick in training. It’s something which I’ve always kind of done but was magnified on Saturday night," he told talkSPORT.

"It’s something that happens when I get a bit edgy and nervous with goal kicking so I just try to get myself into a comfortable position and routine, a bit fidgety and then get set."

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

'Leigh who?' said many after Dan Biggar's peerless kicking display against England, with the outside-half succeeding with eight out of eight kicks.

But sharp-shooting full-back Halfpenny and scrum-half Rhys Webb - who were ruled out of this tournament before it had even begun - have not been forgotten by their mates because the duo made a special appearance at Wales' team hotel last night to present the squad with their jerseys.

  13. A costly win?published at 15:35

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

But victory at Twickenham came at a cost, with more Wales players suffering tournament-ending injuries in battle. Joining Leigh Halfpenny, Rhys Webb, Jonathan Davies and Cory Allen permanently on the sidelines for this tournament are Hallam Amos and Scott Williams.

As former Wales centre Tom Shanklin tweeted after victory over England: "Anyone who's Welsh and can play 11, 14, 13, 15 please send through your CVs immediately."

A doctor would not have ordered a clash against big-hitting Pacific Islanders as a remedy for Wales' injury woes, but an injury-free victory would be just the tonic for Warren Gatland and his backroom staff.

  14. What did victory mean to Wales?published at 15:30

What did beating the auld enemy mean to Wales fans? A video of Hollywood actor Ioan Gruffudd, posted on Instagram, external by his wife, "losing his mind" in his underpants after the victory perhaps sums it up. It's happened to most of us at some point or other...

  15. A slip up after greatest triumph?published at 15:25

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

So, five days ago Wales beat England. In a rugby match. At the World Cup. At Twickenham. Run-of-the-mill stuff, really. There hasn't been much written about the encounter so now is probably a good time to sum it all up.

"Muddled England stare into the abyss after Rugby World Cup loss to Wales," wrote The Guardian , externalafter England let a 10-point lead slip in their 28-25 defeat by a Wales team ravaged by injuries but stirred to produce what some have described as the nation's greatest rugby victory.

What does it mean for Pool A? If England aren't to be evicted from their home tournament, they must produce the "game of their lives" and beat Australia on Saturday - and hope Wales slip up on home soil against Fiji today.

  16. Hi-di-hi!published at 15:20

    Wales v Fiji (16:45 BST)

Hi-di-Hi campers! After the triumph at Twickenham comes Wales' next hurdle - 80 minutes of brutal body slamming against Fiji's heavyweights.

Fortunes can change. One minute you're on top of the world, and the next... Well, we'll have to wait for Sam Warburton and his troops to fill in the blanks later this evening.

Victory at the Millennium Stadium today would ensure Wales make a firm, confident step towards the quarter-finals. Defeat? The Group of Death becomes a ruthless killer of hopes and hwyl.

Superstar singer Sir Tom Jones one day, boxing champion Joe Calzaghe the next. Warren Gatland's men have had the great and the good visiting them during this Rugby World Cup, stirring up the spirits, sprinkling some stardust. It leaves one burning question: who will they have next to inspire them before a big match?
