    New Zealand 10-6 France

Morgan Parra has another shot at goal. Kiwi discipline as extinct as the dodo.

    But he has shanked it.

This game is playing fast and loose. Plenty of points out there for both teams at the moment.

The All Blacks have gone for the jugular very early on. They're just a little bit too eager at times, a little too enthusiastic."

Freddie Michalak's goose is cooked by the looks of it.

Freddie Michalak takes an age over his clearing kick and by the time boot makes contact with ball Brodie Retallick is looming large.

Charge down for the second row followed by a stroll in under the sticks.

    Extras from Dan Carter.

Scott Spedding kicked a penalty two minutes before - a real monster.

  8. The force of New Zealandpublished at 9 mins

    New Zealand 3-0 France

In the first five minutes it was all New Zealand dominating possession and territory.

Those three points are reward for a fine start by New Zealand. The only danger for the All blacks is the more they throw at the French without reward the more France will take heart."

Dan Carter sends the ball sailing through the middle of the sticks to make the first impression on the scoreboard.

The first impression his team have made is very good - lots of width, quick recycling and bullish runners.

  11. New Zealand 0-0 Francepublished at 6 mins

Thierry Dusautoir has a sly tug on the leg of New Zealand scrum-half Aaron Smith. It was right in front of ref Nigel Owens and this kick is right in front for Dan Carter...

  12. New Zealand 0-0 Francepublished at 4 mins

The All Blacks have come storming out of the traps. They want this match strangled at birth.

France pinned back into their own 22m again.

But that is fantastic from Bernard Le Roux - showing his breakdown smarts to steal the ball and relieve the pressure.

My goodness... what a fantastic start. The All Blacks mean business. They have really made good ground. It's been a frantic opening."

  14. New Zealand 0-0 Francepublished at 3 mins

Dan Carter pokes a little grubber kick in behind the French defensive line.

That is a little overcooked. None of his fellow All Blacks seemed to read his intentions and it is a bit of a waste in the end.

A strong start from the champs though.

Keven Mealamu leads the haka for New Zealand. Scrum-half Aaron Smith provides backing tongues, flicking away like a chameleon.

Dan Carter gives it the full eyeballs.

The French? Stoic, stationary and smiling. Kick-off next.

There are several ways to face the haka.

Australia wing David Campese used to take no notice, kicking a ball about in his own dead-ball area.

Richard Cockerill, unsurprisingly, chose the confrontational option, getting close enough to sniff opposite number Norm Hewitt's pre-match meal at Old Trafford in 1997 (below).

In the 2007 World Cup, France (top) pulled off their tracksuit tops to reveal red, white and blue t-shirts and advanced on the All Blacks as a human Tricolore.

Let's see what the class of 2015 have in store...
