Thomas Waldrom scored two tries as Exeter moved to within three points of Premiership leaders Saracens with victory over Gloucester.

Olly Woodburn also crossed and along with two Gareth Steenson conversions they led 19-0 at the break.

Greig Laidlaw got Gloucester on the board with a penalty before Charlie Sharples went over in the corner for a try, which Billy Burns converted.

Exeter pushed for the bonus point but despite late pressure could not cross but they at least avenged last weekend's loss to Northampton

Saracens suffered defeat for the first time this season, ending with 14 men as Harlequins won an absorbing encounter at The Stoop

Jack Clifford's try gave Quins a 15-14 lead at the break after Neil de Kock and Billy Vunipola crossed for Sarries either side of Rob Buchanan's score.

Owen Farrell kicked three penalties after the break but Ben Botica's boot got Quins back ahead after Sarries prop Rhys Gill was sent off for a tip-tackle.

Lock James Horwill scored late on to confirm an end to Saracens' 15-match unbeaten run.

Freddie Burns' last-gasp penalty secured victory for Leicester Tigers over East Midlands rivals Northampton Saints at Welford Road.

Leicester led 21-0 after 22 minutes, with Matt Smith, Lachlan McCaffrey and Owen Williams all touching down.

Tries from Teimana Harrison, George North and Jamie Gibson wrestled Saints back into it, before Burns and Stephen Myler traded kicks to make it 27-27.

But Tigers, boosted by the return of Manu Tuilagi, stole it at the death.

Exeter move to within three points of Saracens at the top of the table while Leicester's last-gasp win over Saints gives them a seven-point cushion over their close rivals.

Saracens may have seen their 15-match unbeaten run come to an end but the north London club are already looking forward to the return fixture on 16 April...

With the clock already red, it's the last kick of the game and Wayne Barnes brings an epic contest to a close.

This East Midlands derby is now taking place in conditions that can be best described as treacherous.

The rain is absolutely pounding down and the pitch is becoming an absolute mud bath.

Fifteen minutes to go and Leicester's lead is still 10, despite having Dan Cole currently plonked on the sin bin step.

Two more penalties from Ben Botica and Harlequins have a narrow lead.

Just under 10 minutes to go, the rain is falling hard in south-west London and the Quins fans at The Stoop have found their voice.
