Premiership leaders Saracens came from 13-0 down at half-time to record a fine win over struggling Bath.

Tom Homer's converted try and two Rhys Priestland penalties had put the Blue, Black and Whites ahead.

Bath were made to withstand severe pressure after the break, but their defence finally buckled when Schalk Brits crossed with 10 minutes left.

Hodgson then added two late penalties to secure victory for Sarries, their biggest-ever comeback in the league.

Saracens left it very late, only taking the lead on 73 minutes, but they piled on the pressure during the second half.

Sarries are now seven points clear at the top of the Premiership table thanks to that victory, with second-placed Exeter in action at Worcester tomorrow.

The north London side have still only lost one match this season.

    Saracens 19-13 Bath

Ben Ransom kicks to touch following a line-out and brings an end to a great comeback from Saracens.

The Premiership leaders left it very late, but it marks their biggest ever comeback in the league.

Bath take a losing bonus point but that will be scant consolation for their defensive effort.

  9. Sin-bin (Wilson)published at 17:12

    Saracens 19-13 Bath

Television footage shows David Wilson shoving Petrus du Plessis in the neck, and the Bath prop is sent to the sin-bin.

That is their 10th yellow card in the Premiership this season.

The visitors will play out the final 35 seconds with 14 men.

  10. Saracens 19-13 Bathpublished at 17:11

Bath are penaiised, somewhat harshly, for a forward pass and Saracens have a scrum on their 10-metre line with under 90 seconds left.

Sarries win the penalty at the scrum and then there's a bit of a set-to between the two packs. Referee Dean Richards goes to the TMO.

  11. Penalty (Hodgson)published at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

    Saracens 19-13 Bath

Kelly Brown is disrupted in the air at the line-out and Charlie Hodgson extends the home side's lead with another penalty.

Visiting coach Mike Ford looks a bit forlorn on the sidelines. Time is against his side, with two minutes left.

  12. Saracens 16-13 Bathpublished at 17:06

If they hold on for victory, this would be Saracens' biggest-ever comeback in the Premiership.

The champions were 13-0 down at the break and have put relentless pressure on Bath in the second period.

Maro Itoje has been crucial in their comeback and the young Englishman must be close to receiving his first international cap.

Four minutes remain at Allianz Park and Sarries have an attacking line-out.

  13. Penalty (Hodgson)published at 17:03

    Saracens 16-13 Bath

And Saracens take the lead for the first time this afternoon with 73 minutes on the clock thanks to another Hodgson penalty.

Maro Itoje was once again critical in forcing the infringement at the breakdown.

Bath have put in so much effort but need to find something extra if they are to win this game.

    Saracens 13-13 Bath

A clearing kick from Tom Homer is deflected into the path of Maro Itoje and allows Saracens to set up another attacking platform.

Ben Spencer picks out Schalk Brits and the South African powers over from close range.

Charlie Hodgson adds the extras and the scores are level at Allianz Park.

There are just over eight minutes left. The league leaders are beginning to show their class.

  15. Saracens 6-13 Bathpublished at 16:58

A brilliant grubber kick from Matt Banahan means Sarries have a line-out in their own 22, but Bath can't take advantage.

However the visitors have been defending in their own 22 for most of the second half so are enjoying this respite from Saracens attacks.

It's heartbreak for Gloucester as Leicester score in the dying minutes to pinch the win.

The home side failed to kick on from their eight-point half-time lead despite dominating possession after the break. With Ben Morgan in the bin, Gloucester's defence were stretched and Leicester worked their opportunity well. Replacement prop Logovi'i Mulipola with the decisive try before Tommy Bell's conversion secured the points.

  18. Saracens 6-13 Bathpublished at 16:53

Bath breathe a big sigh of relief. Saracens go through 17 phases from another line-out, and the visitors somehow keep their concentration to repel wave after wave of attack.

Eventually Sarries knock-on and Bath clear the danger.

Bath have made 112 tackles to 45 from Saracens so far this afternoon. An enormous amount of work and 15 minutes left.

  19. Saracens 6-13 Bathpublished at 16:48

Saracens go through the phases from another line-out and Charlie Hodgson eventually dives for the line.

We go to the Television Match Official for the first time this afternoon but he decides Hodgson is held up over the line.

Referee Dean Richards goes back for a penalty for offside, and Hodgson kicks for the corner again. Can Bath weather the storm?

Gloucester attempt to defend the Leicester scrum with 14 men but Tigers get good ball and numbers run out for the home side as Logovi'i Mulipola dives over. Tommy Bell's first place kick of the game is good and Leicester have a one-point lead.
