  8. Gloucester 15-7 Leicesterpublished at 16:31

Difficult conditions underfoot at Kingsholm as Tigers turn down the chance to kick for points and opt for touch instead. Leicester with a good drive from the line-out but Gloucester with great work to stop the squeeze a metre out and they emerge with the turnover. The crowd celebrate as if they have won the match but still no points here in the second half.

  9. Penalty (Hodgson)published at 16:27

    Saracens 3-13 Bath

Charlie Hodgson has a chance to get Saracens on the scoreboard three minutes into the second period, but his kick from out side drifts well wide of the posts and falls short.

However, Bath fail to clear the danger adequately and Sarries pile the pressure back on and force another penalty, this time right in front of the posts.

Hodgson doesn't make a mistake second time around and the home side cut the gap to 10 points.

Gloucester with all the momentum here as Leicester are penalised for not releasing. Jeremy Thrush screams for James Hook to go for the corner, and after a heated conversation between Gloucester's leaders, Hook does just that.

But the Cherry and Whites can't convert from the line-out and there's a sense of a missed opportunity there as the home side lose their hard-earned field position.

The Premiership leaders have plenty of work to do in the second period if they are to avoid suffering back-to-back league defeats.

Bath, meanwhile, are looking to end a run of four straight defeats in all competitions and record just their second away win in the league this season.

No score so far in the second period at Kingsholm, with the Leicester defence holding firm.

The Tigers scrummage is going well but they give away possession once again after yet more clumsy play. Lachlan McCaffrey fumbles the ball inside his own 22 and Gloucester will look to apply more pressure.

Bath have put in a massive defensive effort in the first period and have a team huddle in the middle of the pitch after the whistle is blown. Can they keep it up in the second half?
