The boys pulled together in the second half and really showed the character we had in the first 40 minutes. It's a great five points for us.

Well, that was as breathtaking as Sale v Leicester was earlier.

Five points for Saints which lifts them back into the top four, a losing bonus point for top six chasing Quins.

    Northampton 29-23 Harlequins

Quins try for the last-ditch clincher, but Tim Wigglesworth the referee penalises them for not releasing on the halfway line and that is that.

  6. Penalty (Botica)published at 17:04 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

    Northampton 29-23 Harlequins

Earlier infringement by Saints amongst all that though and Botica slots over the simple three very quickly...

    Still time for Quins?

  7. Northampton 29-20 Harlequinspublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

18 phases of possession for Quins, but they're held a metre short and Mike Brown spills it as he reaches for the try line.

Final three minutes now and Quins chasing a losing bonus point with a surge forward...

  9. try

Try (Mallinder, con Myler)published at 16:58 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

    Northampton 29-20 Harlequins

And Northampton have punished Quins for missing those penalties.

It's a bonus-point try and that probably seals the win as well with six minutes to play.

Harry Mallinder off the bench just a few moments ago is the man to finish it off wide right after George Pisi's initial burst through the gain line.

Myler on target with the conversion as well.

  10. Missed penalty (Botica)published at 16:56 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

    Northampton 22-20 Harlequins

    Unbelievable.

Ben Botica was immaculate off the tee until three minutes ago and he misses a second chance to put Quins back ahead.

This time he was dead in front from 30 metres out, but the wind swung his attempt well left.

    Newcastle 20-34 Wasps

And that is that at Kingston Park!

Wasps pick up the bonus-point win and deny Newcastle a losing bonus point right at the death.

It wasn't the most convincing performance by Dai Young's side, but they got the job done.

  12. Missed penalty (Botica)published at 16:54 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

    Northampton 22-20 Harlequins

And Ben Botica misses his first attempt of the afternoon as the ball hits the corner of the crossbar and the right post.

Bounces into Saints' hands and they boot it back down the park.

    11 minutes to play....

Ooh, getting a bit scrappy off the ball at Franklin's Gardens.

Ben Botica gets the chance for a shot at goal for Quins to retake the lead from 40 metres back....

  14. try

Try (Young, con Gopperth)published at 16:52 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

    Newcastle 20-34 Wasps

Wasps looks like they have sealed it with just a minute left on the clock.

It was a real forward's try, following sustained pressure and a series of drives at the line.

Thomas Young is the man who manages to push it over and Gopperth converts.

Surely no way back for Newcastle now.

  15. Newcastle 20-27 Waspspublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

Wasps get given a penalty at the scrum and Jimmy Gopperth has a chance to put in a clearing kick into the Newcastle half.

  16. Northampton 22-20 Harlequinspublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

Long old deadlock at the scrum in the corner of Quins' 22.

Eats up around three minutes on the clock before we finally get clear from a Danny Care dart forward.

  17. Newcastle 20-27 Waspspublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

Just five minutes remain. Wasps have been defending doggedly for the last few minutes in their own half.

It's been a physical second half.

  18. Northampton 22-20 Harlequinspublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 27 March 2016

Changes aplenty in the front rows from both sides.

Could be a mistake that decides this game with fresh legs and tired legs mixed together.

Northampton lose out on a driving maul within inches of the Quins line and the visitors can reset themselves and go again.

    Sound the Andy Goode klaxon!

The former England fly-half is on for Mike Delany at Kingston Park for his last Newcastle appearances before retirement.

He's given a standing ovation by the crowd.

Can he inspire the Falcons to a comeback? Just under 10 minutes remain.

Nervous times for those of a London Irish persuasion keeping an eye on that scoreline at Newcastle.

Meanwhile, into the last quarter at Northampton and it's tough to call how this one will finish.

Saints gunning for a return to the top four.
