Keith Lyons: If that was a red card tackle, we might as well as go home and start knitting

Kevin Mills: Awful high dangerous tackling/charging by Ireland. A lot of people need glasses if your saying it's not

Tom Rowse: England supporter with money on SA to win but that red was an utterly unfair decision.

    South Africa 13-13 Ireland

Well, plenty went on in that first half. Ireland made an assured start but the dismissal of local boy CJ Stander is the main talking part at half-time. To remind you, Stander went to charge down a Pat Lambie kick, twisted away from him, Lambie's head connected with Stander's hip, Lambie was knocked cold, Stander was given his marching orders. My view is that it was reckless rather than malicious. More importantly, Lambie is said to be OK.

    South Africa 13-13 Ireland

South Africa trying to nick a score before the end of the first half and they certainly should. The ball is slung left to Mvolo but he's tackled short. Eventually the hosts do get the ball down, but Louw had his foot in touch. Massive let-off for the visitors but it's going to take a monumental effort from Ireland to hold out for the whole of the second half.

The Springboks raiding down the right, Vermuelen brought down on the 22. Great turnover by Henderson, stripping the ball from De Jager, and Jackson puts his laces through it.

  6. Drop-goal (Jackson)published at 37 mins

    South Africa 13-13 Ireland

Jantjies of the Lions with a fine clearance kick, Ireland throw on the 10m line. I hear Lambie is 'only' concussed and is currently being monitored in hospital. Ireland making light of their two-man numerical disadvantage and here's Jackson popping over a drop-goal. Sweet.

Converted try (Mvovo, Jantjies)published at 31 mins

    South Africa 13-10 Ireland

Try South Africa, great line by Mvovo, hurtling into the line, taking a fantastic inside pass from Jantjies and touching down unopposed. Meanwhile, Henshaw is sent to the bin for a high tackle on Jantjies, despite the protests of Ireland captain Best. I think Best's main problem was the fact Luke Marshall was blocked during the build-up to Mvovo's try. Things going pear shaped for the men in green...

    South Africa 6-10 Ireland

Jackson errs with his restart and we come back for a scrum on halfway. De Jager with a clean take, to Louw, and here's Pietersen out on the right wing... back left, South Africa should score, but it's a forward pass. Let off for Ireland, butchered.

  9. Penalty (Jantjies)published at 25 mins

    South Africa 6-10 Ireland

South Africa are restored to their full quota of 15, so now they've got one man extra for the remaining 55 minutes. South Africa penalty, McGrath off his feet, Jantjies knocks it over.

Michael Moran: Never a red card. He was trying to charge the ball down and turned into the jump. Yellow for recklessness but that's about it

    South Africa 3-10 Ireland

As much as Lambie doesn't look in a good way - he's just been carted off the pitch in a neck brace - I'm not sure that was a red card, mainly because I'm not sure it was intentional. But arguments will rage on that front. Jantjies is on for Lambie at fly-half.

  12. Red card (Stander)published at 22 mins

    South Africa 3-10 Ireland

Deary me, Stander has absolutely clattered Lambie, who looks to be out cold. But play continues... the whistle does eventually go and replays show Stander went to charge down Lambie's chip and his hip made contact with Lambie's chin. Stander, a local boy, is off.

Murray is charged down by Pietersen before Marshall mops up and hammers one downfield. Did I mention Lood De Jager is in the bin? No? Well, he is.

  15. Penalty (Jackson)published at 19 mins

    South Africa 3-10 Ireland

Ireland flood back into the Springboks 22, Earls brought down on the left. Another penalty, Stander nearly bursts through, as does Jackson, fine defence... Jackson eventually launches one, Pietersen is underneath it, but they go back for that penalty, which Jackson knocks over. No signs of nerves from the Ulster 10.

  16. Penalty (Lambie)published at 15 mins

    South Africa 3-7 Ireland

South Africa go wide and a Henshaw knock-on, which looked deliberate, goes unnoticed. The Springboks look to maul but Ireland stand up to it... aaah, not for long, Heaslip gives away a penalty for going off his feet. Lambie pops over the three-pointer from bang in front...

Converted try (Payne, Jackson)published at 11 mins

    South Africa 0-7 Ireland

South Africa concede their fifth penalty in only 10 minutes, off-side again. Ireland throw on the 5m line... Toner takes, Heaslip gathers, Ireland rumble towards the line... Ireland try! Jared Payne! South Africa were pinged for yet another off-side, Marshall grubbered through and full-back Payne was wise to it. They go upstairs to check if Payne was in front of the kicker but decided he wasn't. Jackson makes the conversion.

    South Africa 0-0 Ireland

Ireland penalty, now, as South Africa come in from the side and Jackson pops the ball into touch. Murray coughs the ball up and here's Mtawarira with his first rumble... another Ireland penalty, men offside, the referee has a word with skipper Strauss, who then has a word with his men...

  19. Missed penaltypublished at 6 mins

    South Africa 0-0 Ireland

South Africa penalty, Ireland not releasing. The visitors getting a going over at the breakdown, Francois Louw with some great work over the ball. But Lambie pushes his penalty attempt right of the posts.

  20. South Africa 0-0 Irelandpublished at 4 mins

Best throws to the tail, Conor Murray with the kick, South Africa penalised again, Ireland opt for the scrum. South Africa win the free-kick, Murray taking too long to feed the ball. Lambie with the good, hefty clearance...
