A sloppy line out. Captain Stephen Moore finds a player in white - it's Chris Robshaw who's waiting at the tail, he barges over the line, but there are three Australian players underneath him, two others on top of him, stopping the oval ball from touching the turf. Close. Very close.

Australia eager to add width to this game as quickly as possible. They retain possession without venturing any further than across the halfway line. Out of nothing, England are 5m from Australia's line thanks to a wonderful Ben Youngs touch finder.

Bernard Foley is the man to get this second half under way. It's tighter than Superman's underpants, but which way will this match swing?

Maro Itoje is nowhere today, compared to his high standard. The whole England pack look off the pace compared to how they have in the last two games.

Eddie Jones has made sure this is a mental game, got to have your head right. He has done that for a reason, it is incredibly difficult to banish thoughts that we have won a series and this a dead rubber. The top teams in the world do it, at the moment England are struggling ,they are half a pace off it.

I think both coaches will be annoyed, the opposition are making too many inroads in attack and being weak on the short side. There are a number of defensive issues which both teams will address at half-time.

If Eddie Jones doesn't like what he sees, he makes the change.

Teimana Harrison had come in for James Haskell, but he has not quite been the physical presence he wanted. Chris Robshaw is back at open-side where he has not spent any time under Jones. That gives England physical presence across the field and added impetus in the line-out.

Nigel Owens awards a penalty for an England error earlier in the play and Bernard Foley knocks it over with the last play of the half. Australia ahead, but only just.

One last attack for Australia before they regroup in the dressing room. Will Skelton's enormous frame ever-present in the middle of the pitch... the Wallabies rumble forward... A change of tactic from Matt Toomua, a crossfield ball... Israel Folau is first to the high ball but somehow it's Jack Nowell who comes away with the ball. Brilliant defending.

A minute to go until the half-time hooter roars. Courtney Lawes and Billy Vunipola work in partnership to nick the ball from Rob Simmons.

The Vunipola brothers destructive, both punching holes in Australia's defence...

George Ford flattened but, worry not, because the ball remains in motion... Chris Robshaw takes it forward. Nigel Owens places his whistle in his mouth, though I'm not quite sure why. Whatever the cause, the result is an Australian scrum in their own 22.

Australia attacking with pace, but Nick Phipps coughs up possession at the base of the breakdown and the stadium groans as they watch replays of that needless mistake. Pressure off England, they have the put-in at the scrum inside their own 22.

The back-end of the scrum wobbles, but George Ford boots it to touch before any real drama can unfold.

This penalty is out of Bernard Foley's range. In a bid to add more power, he loses precision and the kick drifts wide of the uprights.

A tactical change for England. Lock Courtney Lawes on for flanker Teimana Harrison, with Maro Itoje moving to blind-side from the second row and Chris Robshaw switching to open-side.

Fantastic play by the English, there wasn't much on, it was three on three, but a super chip kick and it bounced up into Mike Brown's hands and he did enough to slide over.

It has been helter-skelter, a fantastic game lots of intensity and counter punches.

What a match. Anthony Watson with the ball in hand, Anthony Watson kicks ahead, Anthony Watson body checked by Dane Haylett-Petty - but it doesn't matter because Mike Brown is in support, and he slides over the whitewash. It isn't an easy conversion for Farrell, but England's centre can bisect the posts with his eyes closed it seems.

It looks really bad in slow motion. Will Skelton has hit him and flipped him on his back. Smart refereeing, it was a timing issue, if Will had taken his hand off it probably would not have been anything, but if he had flipped him onto his head it could have been a red or a yellow.
