Bath came from behind in the West-country derby to condemn Gloucester to their third home defeat of the season.

In an underwhelming first period, in part to do with the wet conditions, James Hook scored the only points of the half with a long-range effort.

George Ford drew Bath level after the break with a drop-goal, before Laidlaw put Gloucester back ahead from the tee.

But Anthony Watson finished well as Laidlaw missed two late penalties and Matt Banahan's try sealed victory.

Sale secured a second Premiership win of the season in a thrilling game of seven tries against Leicester.

Peter Betham's two tries saw Leicester lead 14-7 after Mike Phillips's score.

Former Tiger Paolo Odogwu and Johnny Leota powered Sale into a 24-20 half-time lead with Halani Aulika adding a fourth try after the break.

Adam Thompstone brought Leicester within a point after Aulika was sin-binned but Will Addison's late penalty sealed the victory.

We know derby games aren't pretty, but we knew if we stuck to our process and game plan, at certain points it would come through for us today. We've stuck together as a tight group this season so far and today just shows the talent of the boys.

    Gloucester 6-15 Bath

Well, in a match a little short on stardust, Bath prevail to secure their fifth victory in a row against Gloucester.

In a turgid first-half which saw just three points scored, Bath came from behind courtesy of tries from Anthony Watson and Matt Banahan to take victory.

  8. Gloucester 6-15 Bathpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

We're well into the final minute here and Bath are in possession.

But the penalty is Gloucester's and they'll have one last attempt at the losing bonus-point.

Try (Banahan, con Ford)published at 16:41 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Gloucester 6-15 Bath

A very straight-forward try for Bath which could seal victory.

The ball ends up having to go down the short side from the scrum, and Kahn Fotuali'i hands a lovely pass out to Matt Banahan on the wing.

George Ford's conversion is right on the money and Gloucester have a mountain to climb now.

Less than five minutes to go...

Baht have a golden opportunity here to secure the victory.

    They've got a scrum five-metres out...

"All the talk of Laidlaw's 100% kicking record seems to have jinxed him. He's missed 3 out of 4 in this game."

  12. Missed penalty (Laidlaw)published at 16:34 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Gloucester 6-8 Bath

This hasn't been a vintage rugby match, nor a vintage day with the boot from Laidlaw.

He misses his third kick at goal in this game.

  13. Missed penalty (Laidlaw)published at 16:31 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Gloucester 6-8 Bath

After review, we go back for a penalty to Gloucester as Dave Atwood is penalised for lifting a player in the tackle.

It looked a little harsh, but Gloucester didn't take advantage as Greig Laidlaw missed a long-range effort.

James Hook will be wondering why he wasn't given the ball there.

  14. try

Try (Watson, missed con Ford)published at 16:24 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Gloucester 6-8 Bath

Bath have pulled something out of nothing.

The ball goes through the hands to find Anthony Watson on the left wing, and with a one-on-one, he finishes superbly.

George Ford, with a difficult kick, hits the post again so Bath's advantage sits at two points.

And we're into the final quarter.

  15. Gloucester 6-3 Bathpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Bath make it to a 19th phase of possession, before a penalty is awarded to Gloucester.

And that gets Kingsholm rocking. Gritty defence from the home side but Bath just seemed to be going sideways.

They can't find any space this afternoon.

  16. Gloucester 6-3 Bathpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Oh dear. No luck in the maul for Bath so George Ford goes for the kick out to the wing, but there's no winger at home to collect.

Bath are looking slightly like a side that have just met.

Thankfully for Todd Blackadder's side, Henry Purdy calls mark but slices his kick into touch.

    Bath will go again.

  17. Gloucester 6-3 Bathpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Here come the changes.

Dave Atwood comes on for Elliot Stooke in the Bath side, and Yann Thomas replaces Paddy McAllister at loosehead for Gloucester.

Bath have a lineout close to the Gloucester line and they'll try to get their maul going.

    Sale 34-30 Leicester

And that is time up in Greater Manchester.

Superb effort by Sale to secure their second win of the season and their 200th Premiership victory.

  19. Sale 34-30 Leicesterpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Penalty advantage again to Sale inside the final 90 seconds.

This time it's inside Leicester's half and they can happily boot the ball further up the park for the line-out.

  20. Missed penalty (Ford)published at 16:15 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Gloucester 6-3 Bath

George Ford goes for a kick right at the end of his kicking range, and it falls short.

55 minutes gone here so plenty of time for that elusive try to come.
