  1. Gloucester 0-0 Bathpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

A frantic start in this derby fixture. Billy Burns slices his first kick but his side have the ball back and they're inside Bath's half.

They move into the 10th phase of possession but there's a knock-on and both sides can take a breather.

  2. try

Try (Leota, con Addison)published at 15:00 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 24-17 Leicester

Unbelievable rugby in this game at the AJ Bell! Another try on 30 minutes and Sale have a third through Johnny Leota.

Incredible move from the hosts with quick ball and smart offloading from left and right.

Nev Edwards almost found a way through out wide, but Sharks kept it going and Leota was the man to poke through a defensive gap.

Will Addison once more impeccable off the kicking tee and Sale are back ahead.

  5. try

Try (Odogwu, con Addison)published at 14:54 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 17-17 Leicester

Four minutes without a score and then bang - another try on the board in this one.

Former Tiger Paolo Odogwu is sharp as can be as he collects captain Josh Beaumont's inside pass off the back of a Sale line-out and then sprints clear over the line.

Will Addison again on target and we are all-square on 25 minutes.

  6. Penalty (Addison)published at 14:50 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 10-17 Leicester

Pretty much a score-a-minute in this one.

Will Addison gets Sale three points closer to Leicester almost immediately as the Tigers are penalised for offside on the edge of their 22.

Simple effort for Will Addison from dead in front of the posts.

Captain Greig Laidlaw returns as one of four changes for Gloucester from the side that lost to Newcastle Falcons.

James Hook is given his first start of 2016-17 at full-back, Billy Twelvetrees makes his 100th Gloucester appearance and prop Paddy McAllister also starts.

The Cherry and Whites are without injured full-back Tom Marshall, but Matt Kvesic - who missed the defeat by Falcons because of a bad cut to his face - is fit to return to the bench.

Bath make three changes, as former Gloucester lock Elliott Stooke gets his first Bath start against his old club. Hooker Tom Dunn also comes into the visitors' first team, while Aled Brew replaces injured centre Dan Bowden.

Dave Attwood drops to the replacements bench, where he is joined by hooker Ross Batty.

  8. Penalty (O Williams)published at 14:48 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 7-17 Leicester

And the points keep coming for Leicester in this pulsating opening quarter.

Owen Williams notches a penalty from almost halfway back with his right boot and Leicester's lead is now 10 points on 18 minutes.

  9. try

Try (Betham, con O Williams)published at 14:43 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 7-14 Leicester

Wow! You can't take your eyes off this game!

Just 13 minutes played and three tries already. Peter Betham again is the man to score it for Leicester.

A huge burst through the middle of Sale's defence and under the posts. Nothing to tricky off the tee this time for Owen Williams and from being seven points down, Leicester are suddenly seven points up.

  10. try

Try (Betham, con O Williams)published at 14:40 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 7-7 Leicester

Lightning start to this game and Leicester have struck back with a try inside the opening 10 minutes.

Australian centre Peter Betham is the man to finish off a lovely flowing move in the corner courtesy of a break by Brendon O'Connor.

Owen Williams knocks over a tricky conversion from the far touchline and in the face of a stiff Greater Manchester breeze.

    Game on!

Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder told BBC Radio Bristol:

"If there is one game of the season you've got to win, it's this one. I'm really looking forward to this one.

"It's easy to prepare for these games as a coach - you don't really have to say a lot as the players already know what needs to be done.

"I feel that last week against Leicester has prepped us really well, because it's going to be a hard tough, physical game."

  12. try

Try (Phillips, con Addison)published at 14:36 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sale 7-0 Leicester

And we're off and running on the scoreboard at the AJ Bell.

One of the two returning Sale players to the starting line-up - Mike Phillips - is the try-scorer.

Lovely vision form the former Wales scrum-half as he picks up from the base of a ruck from 20 metres out and breaks through spaces in the Leicester defence and under the posts.

Will Addison with the simple conversion.

  13. Sale 0-0 Leicesterpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Fairly quiet opening five minutes of this game with neither side making much of an impression on the other.

There's a late change for Leicester with replacement fly-half Freddie Burns withdrawn from their matchday squad through injury.

He has been replaced on the bench by George Worth.

Gloucester head coach Laurie Fisher told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"You find, in some games, there's an extra edge around the place, and little bit more tension and fire in the belly.

"A derby game like this is one of those occasions.

"We have an opportunity this Saturday to put the Newcastle game behind us and show what we're capable of."

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill told BBC Leicester:

"We have the same approach this week. I don't think anything has to change - we can tweak our strategy for each team that we play.

"What set us apart at the weekend (beating Bath 34-14) was our physicality, our mindset, our passion and emotion around the game, which is hard to bring every week.

"We have to make sure that the players that take the field know their responsibilities playing for Leicester."

Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond told BBC Sport:

"They're a good side as we know, a top-four team so we've got to be at our very best to challenge.

"We've been a bit inconsistent to be honest but we're probably no further away than we were the same time last year.

"We lost at home to Gloucester which we don't do very often and it has hurt us a little bit."
