Ireland 30-8 New Zealand (Simon Zebo)

    Textbook from Ireland.

Rory Best picks out Devin Toner in the line-out and the forwards drive infield towards the sticks.

Conor Murray switches the point of attack, raiding down the blindside and the All Blacks have mismatched their number.

Simon Zebo has a stroll-in score!

Sexton misses the conversion, but his side are in dreamland.

Play has been halted for the referee to have another look at an All Black tackle. The guilty man is Joe Moody - already shown yellow today.

His hit on Rob Kearney was high, but not malicious though. Just a penalty.

Johnny Sexton turns down the shot at goal to go for the corner.

    Ireland 25-8 New Zealand

New Zealand are massing 15 metres from the Ireland line. Robbie Henshaw smothers Liam Squire with a duvet tackle.

The All Blacks' hands - so slick over the past 18 months - are a little hoof-like today though.

Twice the ball goes to ground and on the second occasion, Ireland scoop up possession and turn the table.

The crowd is firmly behind Joe Schmidt's men.

    Ireland 25-8 New Zealand

Ireland's defence holds firm and when Patrick Tuipulotu spills forward, Andrew Trimble puts a big size nine through the back of the ball to clear up to halfway.

Beauden Barrett gets us back under way and Ireland get a big slice of luck as Conor Murray's clearing kick is partially charged down but flies safely into touch for a green lineout.

This fella is in town supporting the All Blacks.

Very much a body type from the amateur era.

You want stats. I have stats. Well actually, the ever-excellent ESPN have stats., external

Ireland have had 67% possession and territory, but perhaps most important has been their tighter discipline.

They have conceded only three penalties to New Zealand's seven and made the most of All Black prop Joe Moody's sin-binning.

    Ireland 25-8 New Zealand

Johnny Sexton clouts a kick into the cheap seats and Ireland trot to the dressing rooms with a 17-point lead over the world champions.

The All Blacks have the class to make mincemeat of that cushion in no time, but Ireland have the dogged determination to make it last.

It is going to be an intriguing second half.

    Ireland 25-8 New Zealand

Ireland's defence is swallowing up All Black runners like green quicksand.

Another of the world champions' moves is snared in a choke tackle and the last play of the half will begin with an Ireland scrum just inside their own half.

    To the stands Johnny?

    Ireland 25-8 New Zealand

New Zealand force the turnover through good work from Patrick Tuipulotu. They needed that.

    A minute to the break.

  15. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Ireland 25-8 New Zealand

New Zealand look like they lack drive after setting their new world record for successive Test wins last month.

    Ireland are bristling with purpose.

A box-kick from Conor Murray pins All Black Ben Smith back into his own five metres.

    Am I tempting fate?

Ireland 25-8 New Zealand (Conor Murray, con Sexton)

An old-school Garryowen from Johnny Sexton. That is up there with the skyscrapers. It lands, bounces and Conor Murray snares it amid the confusion.

He is dragged into a breakdown, but bounces back out. A snipe around the fringes and he is through and under the posts!

Aaron Smith was so sold on a dummy that he asked for it gift-wrapped.

Johnny Sexton wallops over the extras and the lead is up to 17 points.

Even from this far out, history is beckoning for the boys in green.

    Ireland 18-8 New Zealand

All Blacks up on the Ireland 22m and Aaron Smith dribbles a little boxy grubber into the corner. Simon Zebo whacks a clearing kick down the line, but has no angle to work with.

New Zealand sweep back downfield. But a turnover! Conor Murphy puts leather to lace and this time the pressure really is relieved.

Great defence. Ten to the break.

    Ireland 18-8 New Zealand

New Zealand restart and Dane Coles picks out his man, just.

A dangerous combination between George Moala and Julian Savea takes the play up to the Ireland 22. Those two need some stopping.

  19. Murphy goes offpublished at 26 mins

    Ireland 18-8 New Zealand

Apologies, it is Malakai Fekitoa who has come on in place of Ryan Crotty for the All Blacks.

Jordi Murphy has made his exit on the medical cart, meaning Josh van der Flier is being introduced for Ireland.

The All Blacks have been deep in a huddle during the break in play, before breaking out into passing drills. They need to be sharper and more focused.

  20. Injuries for both sidespublished at 25 mins

    Ireland 18-8 New Zealand

Centre Ryan Cotty departs in near tears after a muscle tweak. I think Aaron Cruden has come on in his place.

Meanwhile Jordi Murphy is down on the turf and taking on oxygen after turning his knee in a freak incident. There was no-one in the same postcode.
