    Ireland 18-8 New Zealand

All Black second row Patrick Tuipulotu is held up with a bear-snare of a choke tackle from the Irish forwards.

Ireland spread play wide from the scrum. Rob Kearney puts up the bomb, Waisake Naholo is under the barrage and he loses out to Simon Zebo who is shoved out of play in the Kiwi 22.

Fields of Athenry swirling around Soldier Field after this start.

  2. Penaltypublished at 23 mins

    Ireland 18-8 New Zealand (Sexton)

Johnny Sexton takes his time and takes his chance.

That 10-point lead is inflated once again.

  3. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Ireland 15-8 New Zealand

Robbie Henshaw wriggles free, Simon Zebo scampers up in support and New Zealand are ragged.

Dane Coles with a cynical bit of lazy running checks the Irish momentum, but at the cost of a penalty.

It is a relatively simple one as well for Johnny Sexton.

  4. Penaltypublished at 19 mins

    Ireland 15-8 New Zealand (Barrett)

Beauden Barrett is going to take on a penalty that is 30 yards out and bang in front.

It should be simple and, despite Barrett's earlier wobbles off the tee, it is.

The Kiwis, with Joe Moody back on the pitch after his yellow card, are nibbling into the Ireland lead.

  5. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Ireland 15-5 New Zealand

Kieran Read is called into the referee's office for a telling-off.

Waisake Naholo has taken out Simon Zebo in the air and the French official warns that this consistent infringement cannot continue.

    They are testing his patience.

  6. try

    Trypublished at 16 mins

Ireland 15-5 New Zealand (CJ Stander)

Rob Kearney dazzles Aaron Smith with a twinkled-toed step off his left. The All Black cover drags him down just short, but CJ Stander burrows low and hard to make it over the final yard around the fringes.

Johnny Sexton can't land the conversion, but Ireland's lead is plump and healthy.

  7. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Ireland 10-5 New Zealand

More indiscipline from the Kiwis as Liam Squire is pinged for a high tackle.

Johnny Sexton with a mighty boot takes play up to within five metres of the All Black line.

This a very similar position from which Jordi Murphy scored his try...

  8. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Ireland 10-5 New Zealand

Ireland's turn to get a little over-eager as Jamie Heaslip is penalised for offside in the defensive line.

Beauden Barrett kicks us up to the Ireland 22m line, but Dane Coles misses his man and his throw over the back of the line is pounced upon by CJ Stander.

  9. try

Ireland 10-5 New Zealand (Jordi Murphy, con Sexton)

New Zealand captain Kieran Read is doing more yakking than a United Nations diplomat. He is constantly in the referee's ear, now offering his own commentary on the replays on the big screen.

The French official is not swayed. He decides that Jordi Murphy has got the ball down for a legal score.

And Johnny Sexton adds the extras. Ireland by five and making the most of the man advantage.

  10. Try reviewpublished at 9 mins

    Ireland 3-5 New Zealand

A heap of bodies piled up over the line.

This is going to take some unpicking. I don't think the officials are going to be able to see the grounding on the replay.

And there is a hint of a knock-on somewhere in the mess of limbs.

    Let's see.

  11. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Ireland 3-5 New Zealand

New Zealand have been wildly indisciplined so far.

They have strayed offside once again and Johnny Sexton punts right into the corner.

Rory Best up to the oche and he picks out Devin Toner...

  12. Sin-bin - Joe Moodypublished at 8 mins

    Ireland 3-5 New Zealand

Jerome Kaino - playing in the second row today - has been pinged for lying on the wrong side.

Oh, hang on. All Black prop Joe Moody has been spotted tip-tackling Robbie Henshaw.

The Ireland centre is OK. Moody is taking a 10-minute stint on the naughty step.

  13. try

    Trypublished at 5 mins

Ireland 3-5 New Zealand (George Moala, con missed Barrett)

The video referee gives his seal of approval to the score and the All Blacks, with their first bit of possession, have the first try. Beauden Barrett fluffs the conversion to remind us that this team are flesh and blood.

  14. Try reviewpublished at 4 mins

    Ireland 3-0 New Zealand

The All Blacks are over as Waisake Naholo carves through the Ireland defence.

Simon Zebo gets back to make the tackle, but the ball bobbles free and George Moala dots down.

A question on whether there is a Kiwi knock-on, but it looks a clean try to me.

  15. Penaltypublished at 3 mins

Ireland 3-0 New Zealand (Johnny Sexton)

Over she goes and the first points on the board are Irish.

  16. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Ireland 0-0 New Zealand

The French referee spots another infringement from the world champions and Johnny Sexton is going to take on the early pop at goal.

A slight angle, distance not a problem, should be a straightforward three.

  17. Kick-offpublished at 1 mins

    Ireland 0-0 New Zealand

Johnny Sexton boots long and true. Aaron Smith clears his lines. Rory Best picks out his man at the line-out though and the New Zealanders have crept offside.

Penalty. And Sexton takes play into the Kiwi 22-metre. Ireland to throw into the line-out.

Ireland v New Zealand (20:00 GMT)

The two teams emerge into the watery autumn sunshine amid dry ice and the strains of the Who's Baba O'Riley.

    Anthem time.

And the hosts have chosen to have Ireland's Call played on the violin.

    Not for me Geoff.
