    Darwin's law claims one of the Wallabies.

    Will Skelton gives away a knuckle-dragging penalty and earns himself a yellow card as he charges shoulder first into Richie Gray's head at the back of a ruck.

    The whistle had gone. John Lacey was about five yards away. And World Rugby issued guidance aimed specifically at such bits of foul play only a couple of days ago.

    That might be the match decided by a single act of stupidity.

    Billy Vunipola has been a real handful today, it's like trying to tackle a grizzly bear. Here's an England penalty as a result of more of Vunipola's rugged advances but Farrell, amazingly, misses.

    Richie Gray's little bit of skulduggery - creating a hole for Grant Gilchrist with some lazy running - allows Australia off the hook in their own 22m.

    The Wallabies are asking some questions at the other end though.
