Former Scotland international on BBC OneIt's great to see that every clip we've shown of Australia and Scotland, they've got options either side of them.
It shows the intensity of rugby we're seeing here and that's where I think Scotland have developed as a side.

Harrison Short: Without the schoolboy errors from England, this game could be over already
Nick Hughes: Ford has no confidence and it's painful to watch. With Farrell improving and media going at him, you can see him going to Toulon

Matt Dawson
2003 World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 liveThat ability to accelerate on the scoreboard has come by tidying up the errors that came in the first 20 minutes, when they were gifting the lead to South Africa.
If you're ill-disciplined over numerous areas you have to take action, and England have done that.

Etzebeth will not be returning to the fray, which is a blow for South Africa, no doubt. England penalty just inside the South Africa half and Daly is going to have a punt. The Wasps centre kicks like a mule, let's see what he can do from miles out... nailed it, middled it, hit the cover off of it, England lead by 11...

2003 World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 liveEngland fly-half George Ford has looked a little bit flustered, he hasn't been very precise, maybe because he hasn't got that big runner in the midfield.
England at the moment are building through Ben Youngs' box-kicks. Maybe Ford is getting a little frustrated.

Chief sports writer at TwickenhamEngland were shipping penalties to the power of the Springboks but are starting to find the pace and intensity that Eddie Jones has been asking for in training. A day to get the Vunipola brothers carrying, Ben Youngs box-kicking and sniping and Owen Farrell kicking for territory and corners.

Allan Dell pilfers the ball as it pops out of the back of a ruck. Nose-bleed territory for the prop as he finds himself in wide, open spaces. He side-steps the ghost of an Australia defender, before finding the comforting embrace of a Wallaby tackler.
Finn Russell decides to stick and, with the clock in the red zone, he kicks to the corner to bring the half to a close.

Converted try (Lawes, Farrell)published at 35 mins
35 minsEngland 17-9 South Africa
Cute kick from Le Roux, South Africa line-out inside the England 22. Don't think we're going to see much in the way of running rugby from the visitors. Pietersen fumbles a high ball and here come England... chaos in the Springbok ranks as they scramble their defences, and Lawes eventually gets the touch. However, Brown might have knocked it on. They're having a look...

Murrayfield launch into Flower of Scotland as Ross Ford finds his man in a line-out on halfway.
An up and under from Finn Russell. Dane Haylett-Petty takes it, but is tackled by Tim Visser. Off to Israel Folau. And John Barclay shudders Stephen Moore's ancestors with a huge hit.
Barclay has done well so far.

Scotland are knocking on the door. But that is a bit of an anti-climax.
John Barclay needlessly attempts to squeeze the ball out of the backdoor as he takes contact and knocks on.
Three minutes left of the first half and I think Scotland would take this scoreline to the dressing room now.

Etzebeth is led from the field of play, not sure we'll be seeing him again. England scrum, about five metres out, could opt to go either way... South Africa get a shove on but it wheels and we go again... scrum goes down, England penalty bang in front... Farrell slippers it over...

Cracking game of rugby this. Both Australia and Scotland are playing fast and wide.
David Pocock is the party pooper though. The Aussie backrow clamps down to force another turnover.
