    England 7-9 South Africa

Ford with a drop-goal attempt but it just misses to the right. Robshaw with a fine tackle on scrum-half Paige and England turn it over. England line-out and here comes Young with a dummy and go, slithering through a gap like a rodent through the crack of a door. But what a collision that is, Etzebeth bouncing off Billy Vunipola, who is still on the deck as I type...

Etzebeth is a massive man and he went straight onto his backside when Billy Vunipola hit him then.

Wow, that was a big, big hit.

Billy Vunipola has a massive noggin to get back up after that one.

Converted try - Huw Jonespublished at 27 mins

    Scotland 17-10 Australia

Burn baby burn. There is some serious gas in the Scotland backline. Huw Jones and Stuart Hogg combine to set Tim Visser cantering clear down the line.

The winger is pulled down, but the ball is recycled and Jones does Tevita Kuridrani like a kipper with a stop-go side-step.

    Extras from Greig Laidlaw.

Nope. Greig Laidlaw's kick comes up just short.

  9. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Scotland 10-10 Australia

Sekope Kepu puffs his cheeks. The Aussie prop feels he has been hard done by.

But John Lacey decrees he was offside and Greig Laidlaw is going to take on a beast of a kick, just inside the Australia half and on a slight angle.

  11. Penalty - Bernard Foleypublished at 22 mins

    Scotland 10-10 Australia

The first bit of bragging rights for the big boys up front.

Scott Sio forces Zander Fagerson to the floor and the Aussies are full of backslaps and whoops for the prop.

Wallabies scrum coach Mario Ledesma prepares his invoice in the coaches box.

Bernard Foley points to the posts and evens things up off the tee.

Billy Vunipola goes crashing through a hole created by Youngs but South Africa have nicked it and here comes Francois Venter... England turn it over and here's an England penalty. England rumble from the line-out before putting width on the ball. South Africa turn it over, but England nick it back again... South Africa win it back, De Allende chips through, all a bit scrappy...

South Africa are being very astute around the contact area, they're being disciplined - they're making themselves a real nuisance.

    Italy 3-35 New Zealand

Not a happy first-half for Italy in Rome - they've conceded five tries already against the All Blacks.

Malakai Fekitoa, Charlie Faumuina, Patrick Tuipulotu, Israel Dagg and Wyatt Crockett have all taken advantage of the Italian hospitality in the opening 40 minutes.

    Scotland 10-7 Australia

Australia cut Scotland's defence to ribbons off first phase yet again, Israel Folau darting and off-loading to Michael Hooper.

It is full panic stations for the Scotland defence. Australia are surely only one pass away from a score, but a backtracking Huw Jones poaches Will Genia's pass.

That was aimed at Reece Hodge and if it had found its target it was a guaranteed five points.

    Scotland 10-7 Australia

Australia spill the ball on the Scotland 10-metre line, wasting good work from Tevita Kuridrani.

Scotland throw the ball wide and a well-weighted grubber from Stuart Hogg shoves play back deep into the Aussie half.

Wallaby number eight Lopeti Timani is the latest player to take a knee. He is staying on for now. It is bruising out there.

    England 7-6 South Africa

England looking good with ball in hand, it's just their indiscipline that is letting them down at the moment. Daly gets smashed attempting to carry the ball clear before Youngs clears his lines. Strong South Africa scrum and England disintegrate, that's another penalty, kick to the corner...
