    Scotland 16-16 Argentina

Last chance for Scotland from a scrum inside their own half with the clock having ticked into the red. Can they create one more chance for Finn Russell?

The hosts go through phase after phase as Greig Laidlaw looks for his man, but that's a penalty. Greig Laidlaw will have a free shot to win it.

    Ireland 6-14 New Zealand

Ireland pour forward again, urged on by the loud Aviva choir who burst into the Fields of Athenry. But New Zealand force the turnover and all that driving ends in nothing. Zilch.

That was too late for the drop-goal attempt. The one earlier was too early but they could have gone a phase earlier that time.

    Scotland 16-16 Argentina

Scotland attempt to set Finn Russell again for a drop goal opportunity, but what great desire from Argentina to get out and attempt to close down the fly half's attempt.

Russell's kick is charged down by a blue and white arm and Argentina survive.

Oh hello. Another opportunity for Ireland to set up camp in All Black territory. Julian Savea lets a high ball slip out of his grasp. Must have lost it in the lights.

  6. Missed penalty - Scotland 16-16 Argentinapublished at 67 mins

    Greig Laidlaw

These sides have been so evenly matched at Murrayfield in almost every area, but it's Scotland who look more like finding a match winner with three minutes remaining.

The hosts win their own line-out in the Argentina 22 and the Pumas are then penalised. Chance for Greig Laidlaw to edge his side in front - he's hit the post from the penalty!

Ireland pound forward from the whistle. Josh van der Flier asks a few questions of the All Blacks defence, they answer with some crunching tackles. Away skipper Kieran Read eases the pressure by forcing a penalty in the 13th phase.

Sean Fitzpatrick reckons we're watching possibly the two best teams in the world here. Who are we to argue? Eddie Jones and Dylan Hartley might though.

Anyway... Ireland, depleted but not down, get the second half going.

Scotland are the side looking to play the more expansive rugby at the minute. Finn Russell slings one wide to Stuart Hogg again and then Hamish Watson bundles his way forward.

Finn Russell has found his way into the pocket. Will Greig Laidlaw set him for a drop-goal from the ruck? Yes, but it's wide from the fly half. Disappointing end to a promising move for the home side.

What will be going on in the New Zealand dressing room right now? Probably a rollicking about their ill-discipline. The All Blacks have conceded eight penalties - compared to Ireland's two - giving their hosts something to build on.

    Scotland 16-16 Argentina

Murrayfield is really roaring now, especially when Stuart Hogg gets the ball in hand. Explosive running from the full back carries him past a couple of tackles and into the Argentina half as Scotland look to capitalise on this shift in momentum.

The hosts go patiently through the phases, but then carelessly spill the ball to allow Argentina to relieve the pressure. 10 minutes to go and it's still all square.

I loved the intensity in that passage from Scotland.

They totally changed it and badly need to play at that pace.

  18. Penalty - Scotland 16-16 Argentinapublished at 68 mins

    Greig Laidlaw

Scotland are putting some pressure on the Argentina line. Willed on by the home crowd, the Scots are trying to keep it alive and look for the extra points.

It's great intensity and eventually Argentina are forced into giving away a penalty in front of the sticks. Greig Laidlaw decides to put the three points on the board and level things up.

New Zealand will be very happy to go in eight points ahead given the way the half has gone.

Ireland can feel a little bit unlucky.

The bottom line is, it is very much still game on.

  20. Penalty - Scotland 13-16 Argentinapublished at 62 mins

    Nicolas Sanchez

Jonny Gray again tops the tackle count for Scotland so far today, 12 for the Glasgow man as he silently goes about doing the dirty work.

But Scotland then go and get penalised at a scrum 30 metres from their own line and that is gift-wrapped for Nicolas Sanchez. Three points. Argentina back in front.
