    England 12-16 France

The first try of the night took France over 500 metres in attack. They are the first team to do so in this year's Six Nations. There were five offloads in the build-up to create the seven points.

Danny Care is the man you want to chase a game from scrum-half. He is on for Ben Youngs for England.

Joe Marler is replaced by Matt Mullen at loose-head prop.

Classic French offloading from their forwards, and how England are missing the muscle of the Vunipolas and defensive nous of Chris Robshaw.

Alex Haworth: England couldn't have been much worse here.

Dan Smith: Why is the standard script across all English sports and sportsmen and women that we have to start slow and come from behind?

England are playing like they first met in the car park outside before the game.

A horrible backs move, full of errors and inaccuracies, comes to an end as the ball squirms forward off Owen Farrell.

This is a real test of Eddie Jones brave new world.

England look better when the ball is going through George Ford's hands, it creates more width.

They haven't got the heft to get over the gain line straight from Ben Youngs.

Twickenham has as much atmosphere as deep space at the moment.

That France try was a gut punch, but it had been coming.

Eddie Jones shuffles his pack, bringing on the frenzied bear stylings of James Haskell and removing Joe Launchbury.

Maro Itoje is stuck back into the second-row boiler-room.

Eventually the French power with the ball carrying has paid off.

England eventually ran out of numbers. A very well worked try by France and with the balance of the game, they deserve to be in front.

I'm not sure there wasn't a forward pass tucked away there, but take nothing away from France.

Unbelievable continuity and after a few high shots from England they thought 'just go for it'.

    Cracking, classic French try.

A quality little bit of interplay from the big boys with France flanker Kevin Gourdon picking a line, bursting through the fringe and flicking an off-load to prop Rabah Slimani.

Some lovely all-court skills from the French pack and Camille Lopez adds the extras.

From minute one of this second half England have been a very different side. So much more accuracy. I can't remember many penalties England have given away.

England are on top for sure.
