    Camille Lopez

Three from three from the tee from Camille Lopez.

Just a minute more before the sin-binned Jonny May can rejoin the fray.

    England 3-6 France

Louis Picamoles, a shire horse of a number eight, canters away down the wing, escaping the attentions of Joe Launchbury.

Maro itoje is pinged for a high tackle as England cover across and Camille Lopez steps up and takes aim off the tee...

    England 3-6 France

    Send in the clowns.

Without George Kruis to organise the line-out, England's pack get it horribly wrong.

Dylan Hartley's throw thumps Courtney Lawes on the back of the head to initiative back to France.

    England 3-6 France

The France line-out splutters and coughs. A horrible over-throw is bagged by Tom Wood at the back. He thunders into midfield.

The ball is recycled, spun wide and Elliot Daly chips and chases.

Over-cooked and out on the full.

It has taken a few minutes for England to realise that Virimi Vakatawa is not an experienced 15s player.

He is not lazy, but gets himself out of position and Elliot Daly's kicking is pinpoint.

  6. Postpublished at 15 mins

    England 3-6 France

Sublime from Elliot Daly who puts France back into their own corner with a cultured swipe of his left boot.

Pressure on France hooker Guilhem Guirado. But he picks out his jumper Damien Chouly and Joe Marler has been a little over eager in closing the gap.

Penalty France to clear the lines.

    Brian Moore
    Former England hooker

To be honest, I can't see anything wrong with that tackle.

Eddie Jones looks a little nonplussed, as indeed am I.

    It's sloppy from Jonny May.

We were talking about discipline a couple of minutes ago, I reckon Eddie Jones will be fuming.

Elliot Daly in the autumn, unlucky I suppose, but it has to be in the forefront of the players' minds to say 'don't let this happen again'.

  9. Penalty - England 3-6 Francepublished at 12 mins

    Camille Lopez

And Camille Lopez rubs some salt into the wounds with three points off the tee.

Three points and a man down, England are not making things easy for themselves.

  10. Sin-binpublished at 12 mins

    England 3-3 France

Jonny May is off for a 10-minute sit-down. A yellow card for the England wing.

    England 3-3 France

That is some spice to the pot.

Jonny May lifts the leg of Gael Fickou in the tackle. The France centre lands awkwardly with a combination of his head and chest taking the impact.

Angus Gardner gives a shrill blast on the whistle and is examining the incident on the big screen...

    England 3-3 France

France full-back Scott Spedding gets a shift on, slaloming between a couple of English tacklers.

Opposite number Mike Brown takes down his man 20m short.

England have been on the ugly end of things in the first 10 minutes.

England will be happy to register a score because they haven't created much of a significance yet.

Both sides giving a penalty away. Discipline has got to be so tight, it is easy to get caught up in the emotion of the game early on.

    England 0-3 France

    Paul Grayson
    Ex-England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 live

A good start from France. They attacked wide from their first scrum. They have got huge power and pace in their back three and are happy to play both sides of the ruck.

They have threats either sides of the ruck or maul. But England looked relatively comfortable in defence.

  18. Penaltypublished at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    England 0-3 France (Lopez)

England fall behind as Camille Lopez bisects the sticks after the hosts are pinged for not rolling away at a ruck.

    England 0-0 France

An early escape for England as they are pinned back in their own half, staring down the barrel of a five-metre scrum against this ENORMOUS French pack.

But the visitors go early, England get a free-kick and Owen Farrell can relieve the pressure.

Another slow start from England though?
