Four games down, two to go in round 17 of the Premiership.

Five more rounds remain after that in the battle for the top four, top six and the battle against the drop.

Newcastle and Saracens - with their own separate ambitions - meet at Kingston Park and at the bottom end of the table, the biggest game of the weekend arguably between Worcester and Bristol.

Both those games can be followed here on BBC Sport. Why not join us again? Until then, thank you and good evening!

Well, what a day in the Premiership.

Bath v Wasps wasn't quite the humdinger we were expecting on paper, although we saw signs from the visitors that they are the real deal. In Kurtley Beale, Christian Wade, Danny Cipriani and the reliable Jimmy Gopperth they have sheer quality.

The true drama came at Gloucester v Harlequins, where the excitement stretched the full 80 minutes.

You can read both reports on the BBC Sport website right now.

    Bath 3-24 Wasps

Wasps have enough in the tank to keep Bath scoreless in the second half and extend their own lead in the match to 24-3, which is how it finished.

Two tries from expensively acquired import Kurtley Beale showcased his talents, while Christian Wade's fantastic score on the back of a sliding move got Wasps on the way.

Big four points for Wasps, who go five clear of Exeter at the top.

Bath stay in the top four, but their pursuit of the top three looks a little tougher than before.

What will concern Todd Blackadder is their inability to crack Wasps' defence. Tom Homer's penalty was all they had to show for it.

There it is! With 15 points in the last eight minutes, Harlequins overcome Gloucester in a dramatic match at Kingsholm.

    Bath 3-24 Wasps

Little of note to mention in the closing stages here. Certainly none of the excitement of Kingsholm!

Time ticking away, going through the motions. Big four points for Wasps.

  6. Penalty (Lang)published at 16:51 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

    Gloucester 27-30 Harlequins

James Lang kicks it! Four seconds remaining on the clock and James Lang holds his nerve.

That is the game all but won. WOW.

    Gloucester 27-27 Harlequins

And it is all level now with five minutes remaining as Ross Chisholm scoots over for Harlequins.

    What. A. Comeback!

Again some slick passing is at the heart of Quins' score and Chisholm gets on the end of a Alofa Alofa pass to go over. Enthralling stuff.

    Bath 3-24 Wasps

Bath's fight is creditable, they haven't stopped competing every breakdown, every ruck, every loose-ball and every set-piece.

However, Wasps are doing just enough. The revolving door of replacements isn't helping the flow here in the last five and a bit minutes.

That said, this game is won.

  9. try

Try (Chisholm, con Lang)published at 16:44 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

    Gloucester 27-22 Harlequins

Harlequins make their one man advantage count almost immediately as James Chisholm goes under the posts.

James Lang gets it converted in a flash and it is going to be a tense final eight minutes at Kingsholm now.

  10. Sin-bin (Hibbard)published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

    Gloucester 27-15 Harlequins

It is a long way from being over at Kingsholm as Gloucester will finish this match with 14 men after Richard Hibbard is sin-binned.

    Bath 3-24 Wasps

Big lad isn't he? Old (young) Guy Armitage. Some name to have to live up to as well!

He'll come into the Wasps side that are cooking nicely.

Ben Tapuai smothers Christian Wade in midfield with a thunderous hit but crucially the winger clings on and Wasps retain the ball. Though the ball is popped into touch.

Wasps come up with it off the line out...

    Gloucester 27-15 Harlequins

There is 13 minutes remaining at Kingsholm and both sides will rue missed chances of sorts in recent minutes.

Harlequins had a second-half try ruled out for a forward pass and Gloucester have simply hit a brick wall in the form of Quins' defence.

A bonus-point win for the hosts will be huge for Gloucester's top six ambitions.

Can they do it? They are certainly pressing for it.

    Bath 3-24 Wasps

You get the feeling that is it for Bath. Wasps playing with a bit of pomp again now as Christian Wade forces a 22 drop out with a scything run and kick in behind.

Wasps definitely targeting the bonus point, they need another try to achieve that feat.

    Bath - damage limitation?

  14. try

    Conversion (Gopperth)published at 65 mins

    Bath 3-24 Wasps

Utterly sublime move from Wasps, built upon teak-tough attack from the forwards.

Pick and gos softened Bath up, sucked in defenders and forced the scramble.

Lying in wait were the backs and the ball was shifted left with pace and skill, leaving an easy finish for a diving Kurtley Beale.

Brilliant chase down of Semesa Rokoduguni by Ashley Johnson, forced an error.

Wasps scrum within five of the line...

    Bath 3-17 Wasps

Scruffy turnover by Wasps there. Christian Wade presented the ball at the ruck but Bath were breathing down and forced an error.

The flow of the game is much more equal now but crucially it's Wasps who are in total control on the scoreboard.

    Bath 3-17 Wasps

Flurry of changes, noticable mainly because of the cleanliness of the kits, including snipey half-back Dan Robson coming on for his 50th appearance.

Luke Charteris makes way for Bath too, the big Wales international has done well in particular at the set-piece.

  19. Penalty (Burns)published at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

    Gloucester 27-15 Harlequins

Bills Burns with more points off the boot as Gloucester build a nice lead now.

And while Harlequins have the chance to pull the three points back straight away, Tim Swiel misses his penalty.

And before all that kicking good fun, there was a huge hit from David Halaifonua on Tim Visser.

Sure, Halaifonua got a pretty important try for the hosts, but the incredibly well timed shot makes the highlight reel!

    Bath 3-17 Wasps

Best position for Bath of the game, Max Lahiff shoving from the catch and drive. David Denton has a bash. Chris Cook has a bash. Wasps just about sliding across to cover.

Home crowd senses something special is brewing but Bath then give away the penalty. Wasps gulp in the oxygen and pump it to touch.
