    Gloucester 10-12 Harlequins

It has been a busy few minutes at Kingsholm.

Billy Burns with a huge slip as he tees up a penalty. Off balance, he still manages to slot his kick for the hosts.

There is also a setback for Harlequins as prop Mark Lambert goes off for a head injury assessment and is replaced by Owen Evans.

    Bath 0-14 Wasps

Jake Cooper-Woolley comes away from a scrum with a bloodied head, a gash that has the macabre look of a gunshot wound.

Bath win a penalty for a collapsed scrum but no sooner than getting position hand the ball straight back to Wasps.

Shots of Francois Louw in the stands on the television coverage - how missed is that big unit at the ruck?

Try (Mulchrone, con Swiel)published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

    Gloucester 7-12 Harlequins

Harlequins take the lead with 10 minutes of the first half remaining.

Some tremendous offloads in the build up to Charlie Mulchrone's try. Joe Marchant and Tim Visser instrumental in the visitors' second try.

This time Tim Swiel lands the conversion and the Londoners add to that lead.

    Bath 0-14 Wasps

Wasps come fingertips away from a flowing try in the right corner. From the scrum in the 22, Joe Simpson scoots from the base, finds Danny Cipriani who at the line tips away to Kurtley Beale.

With the line in sight and a huge overlap, Wasps had the chance but Wallabies full-back Beale took his eye off the ball and it squirmed loose, to the relief of the Rec faithful.

    Bath 0-14 Wasps

Bath compound the loss of the ball in a decent position by knocking on in their own half.

Wasps henceforth have a fine position to strike.

What I'm most impressed about by Wasps is they defend as relentlessly as they attack. Numbers at the breakdown, sharp off the line and ferocious in contact.

    Bath 0-14 Wasps

Bath get penalty advantage for a high tackle after Danny Cipriani clobbers Tom Homer across the chops.

Chance to push Wasps back from the penalty.

Try (Visser, con missed Swiel)published at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

    Gloucester 7-5 Harlequins

Tim Visser marks his return from Scotland duty with a fine try for Harlequins. Slick finish by the winger.

For all the pressure applied by Gloucester, Quins have managed to turn it right around. The ball was worked wide and with a dive in the corner, Visser gets the Londoners over, but a missed conversion means they are still behind after 23 minutes.

    Bath 0-14 Wasps

Wasps are dictating the pace of the game and winning rucks. Their play in open, broken field is mesmerising.

Kurtley Beale  finished things off beautifully after another forward-based line-break, cutting back against the grain to leave Bath's defence flat footed.

Much to do for the hosts.

    Bath 0-7 Wasps

The home fans have hope in their hearts after Adam Hastings puts David Denton in but the big back-rower is ruled to have a leg in touch.

Credit Christian Wade for his defensive effort which forced the Scotland international into that position.

Positive for Bath? They broke Wasps line. Smart halves play from Denton's compatriot Hastings.

    Gloucester 7-0 Harlequins

More than a quarter of an hour has gone at Kingholm and there has been no further score... not that Gloucester haven't been knocking hard on the door.

The hosts are dominating possession, but Harlequins have resisted so far.

Gloucester head coach Laurie Fisher will have plenty turning over in his head, as the hosts have also turned down a kickable penalty and chance to add to that lead.

    Bath 0-7 Wasps

Bath get some joy from an exit kick, pinning Willie Le Roux on landing, and winning a penalty when the South African back tried to shift to a smoother present.

From the pen Bath get into the Wasps 22...

    Bath 0-7 Wasps

That try puts an awful lot of pressure on Bath to come out and attack Wasps.

However, the lack of field position in this first quarter has given them little chance of doing such.

Wasps have the ball in sight of Bath's 22 but the ball goes loose. Bath recover but the visitors line-speed and defence is, pardon the pun, swarming.

    Conversion (Gopperth)published at 14 mins

    Bath 0-7 Wasps

Wasps have cracked the Bath defence for the first time through Christian Wade  but he owes so much to Alex Rieder's slippery footwork that created the platform.

Wade had space out wide but Bath never recovered from Rieder's half break and Gopperth's conversion was good.

    The visitors have the advantage.

    Bath 0-0 Wasps

It's been a sapping start for Bath. They've tried to clear their lines with a maul just outside their 22 but it's gone against them and turned over head and feed at the scrum.

Wasps are getting a foothold here. It's the pack rather than the backline that has earned it.

    Bath 0-0 Wasps

Extensive raid on the Bath line by Wasps featured plenty of deft hands, looking to pull the home side defence all over the place but they do enough to bundle the winger Christian Wade into touch.

However, play comes back for the penalty advantage. Wasps hammer it into touch and they come again... before Bath recover and a box kick gets the ball clear.

Test of mettle there for Bath, they passed.

    Gloucester 7-0 Harlequins

    What a start at Kingsholm.

Harlequins are on the attack initially and get to within meters of the try line. But quick as a flash, Gloucester break in stunning fashion for a length-of-the-field score.

David Halaifonua with a great run and a fine finish from Charlie Sharples

Billy Burns lands the extras. The home fans are loving this.

    Bath 0-0 Wasps

Some Premiership games lack a bit of stardust and sparkle in terms of entertainment and expansive football but this game certainly isn't one of them.

Both these teams like to chuck it about. It's a soggy pitch by all accounts but it's had little impact on the adventure of the two teams.

Handling affected though as Ben Tapuai made a break and his pop off to Anthony Watson was spilled in contact.
