This will definitely rank as one of Ireland's greatest wins, going in truly against the odds against what is a tremendous England team.

Tom Luce: England win, everyone sings their praises. When losing, people are quick to say "they aren't that good". Ireland beat NZ.

Matthew Harris:  Everyone's going to gloat like we got the wooden spoon but we're still champions. All we lost here was the cherry on top.

John: For all the trolls and England haters about to crawl out the woodwork. Still champions and joint world record holders!

Penalty to England. Just outside their own 22m.

    They have to run it.

Peter O'Mahony claims an Ireland line-out on the England 22m.

But the Ireland rolling maul has stalled and failed to get the ball to ground.

England with the put-in to the scrum on their own 22m.

One minute left, four points adrift and three-quarters of the field.

    That is tough maths.

Ireland rolling through the phases, playing low-risk one-out runners.

And then Luke McGrath, anti-freeze for blood, puts in a dead-eyed kick behind Jack Nowell to pin England back on their own line.

They are 95 metres from a Grand Slam. It is an awful long way.

Alex Taylor:  Tipped Ireland to spoil the party - England have to lose at some point May as well be away in Dublin - not over yet though...

The Meme Man:  England architects of their own destruction here. No escape from jail on this occasion.

For Ireland, it's such a mentally challenging time.

They've been in this position before, thinking 'only six minutes left, only five minutes left...' it creeps into your mind.

Every one of the England players also thinks 'we've done this before, we just need the ball'.

Niall Scannell is on in place of Rory Best at hooker for Ireland.

Luke McGrath has come on at scrum-half.

He takes an age over a put into the scrum, milking the clock for a few more seconds.

A frustrated and diving Danny Care swats the ball out of the scrum-half's hands at the back and that is a penalty to Ireland.

    That might be the match-loser.

England are playing slightly into a breeze the way the weather is coming down and Owen Farrell was unsure about that penalty. If you're unsure, boot the leather out of that ball into touch.

And Jamie George misses his man!

Peter O'Mahony grasps the ball a fraction of a second before Maro Itoje and Ireland have possession.

    Massive cheers around the Aviva.

Ireland full back Jared Payne has now broken the 100-metre mark for distance made, while his England counterpart Mike Brown has made just half that.

The Irish are defending well, too. They've missed seven tackles to England's 15 so far, with Iain Henderson and Peter O'Mahony making nine tackles apiece.

Is this one of the shots at goal?

England are awarded a penalty just inside the Ireland half.

Do they kick? Into the wind and rain?

Nope, Owen Farrell kick for position rather than points.

England line-out on the Ireland 22m.

    A bit of scrum jiggery-pokery.

Two very tired packs dredging for the last few watts of power.

Finally England get the ball away from the set-piece.

The rain is teeming down. This is not the weather for running rugby and the visitors need a try.

    Or two penalties double-quick.

Ben Wire:  Ireland have finally exposed England; we've looked vulnerable this year. Our luck is no match for the luck of the Irish...

Nick Hughes: England want to send a message to New Zealand, they're achieving that. All Blacks would still win easy.

Joshua Byers Warner:  I don't understand why Owen is for the kick for points instead of kicking it to the corner for a try!

Ben Te'o looks distinctly groggy as he gets to his feet after a heavy tackle.

The England centre wants to stay on. Wiser heads prevail.

He is off for a head injury assessment and George Ford has been brought back into the fray off the bench.

You just sense the power England bring off the bench, the extra step up they can take.

Ireland don't have that at the moment, they don't have that depth. Some critical substitutions.
