    Wales 34-15 Hong Kong

    Wales are not done yet.

Substitute Elen Evans carves a path through the middle with a weaving run as Wales edge into Hong Kong's 22.

But that's a penalty for Hong Kong as Evans is then pulled for holding on.

It took longer than expected but, finally, I think Wales can breathe easy.

They have weathered a real storm from Hong Kong, who seem to be tiring after a spirited 70 minutes.

Wales will undoubtedly be disappointed with elements of their performance but, given how close they have been to losing this game, a win of any sort will come as a relief to Rowland Phillips and his players.

    Wales 34-15 Hong Kong

There was no stopping Sioned Harries there.

She is far too powerful from five metres out and dives over the line to secure Wales' sixth try of the afternoon.

Robyn Wilkins adds the two and Wales will be going home with a win.

    Wales 27-15 Hong Kong

Wales go into the final 10 minutes with all the momentum.

They've got a line-out in the Hong Kong half and Shona Powell-Hughes makes a half-break as Wales edge towards the try-line.

One more try and they should be able to celebrate the win.

    Wales 27-15 Hong Kong

And it's hooker Carys Phillips - the coach's daughter - who pops up on the left wing to dash over and secure Wales' fifth try of the game.

Their lead stretches to 12 points.

    Wales 22-15 Hong Kong

Great work from the Welsh pack who earn the penalty from the driving maul.

Elinor Snowsill, who has been showing off her kicking skills this afternoon, slots an easy one into touch as the forwards collect the line-out ball.

    Wales 22-15 Hong Kong

Jess Kavanagh-Williams is denied her hat-trick as her right boot grazes the whitewash.

But that was good play from Wales. Substitute Dyddgu Hywel with some lovely footwork deep in her own half before Kavanagh-Williams set off down the right wing and just edged into touch.

Twenty five minutes left to play in Dublin.

Jess Kavanagh-Williams looks to have finished off a great Wales team try... but was she in touch?

Each time Wales score, you'd be tempted to think 'That's it, they'll be fine from here'.

But Hong Kong have shown they are not to be written off.

Kavanagh-Williams has her second try of the game and Wales now lead 22-15 but you sense this game is far from over.

Sioned Harries makes a good break for Wales down the middle as she slips the first tackle.

The ball is recycled and Jodie Evans steams towards the try line before falling just short and popping the ball to the supporting runner Jess Kavanagh-Williams.

A great team try for Wales.

Evans can't add the extras but Wales now have a seven-point buffer.

    Wales 17-15 Hong Kong

    Dafydd Pritchard

There are some stressed looking faces among the Wales fans here in Dublin.

This was meant to be a straightforward win, even with head coach Rowland Phillips making a few changes to give some youngsters a chance.

Hong Kong, however, have other ideas. This could go down to the wire.

  12. try

Try - Chong Ka Yanpublished at 45 mins

    Wales 17-15 Hong Kong

A perfect start to the second 40 for Hong Kong as they get their second try of the tournament.

Chong Ka Yan, who was apparently serving burgers at the Hong Kong sevens five years ago, pops up to cross the whitewash.

    Quite a story.

And they've started well in the second.

Rose Hopewell-Fong with an up-and-under kick to put Elinor Snowsill under pressure. But the fly-half gathers well before being wrapped up by Hopewell-Fong.

Hong Kong are just inches from the line...

If Wales are to push on in this second period, they'll need to gain possession.

Hong Kong had 61% in the first half, and used it well.

Where to start with that half?

Hong Kong secured their first ever points at a RWC through the boot of Adrienne Garvey and a try from Natasha Olson-Thorne.

Wales conceded an obscene amount of penalties, but fly-half Elinor Snowsill had her hand in two brilliant Welsh tries with a skillful finish from Jasmine Joyce thrown in the mix.

A little too close for comfort for Wales.

A closer half than I was predicting, but an enthralling one nonetheless.

Plenty to talk about at the break.

    I think they were listening.

A lovely score from the women in red, made by fly-half Elinor Snowsill.

Her cross-field kick into the Hong Kong 22 finds Jasmine Joyce who handles the ball brilliantly for the try.

Jodie Evans narrowly misses the conversion.

    Wales 12-10 Hong Kong

I spoke too soon. Chong Ka Yan knocks the ball on after a wild pass from Adrienne Garvey and Wales will put Hong Kong under pressure at the scrum.

Wales could do with another score before half time.

  20. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Wales 12-10 Hong Kong

A half full of drama so far.

They might not be playing for a semi-final place but these two teams are serving up a right cracker.

Hong Kong are patiently working the ball from deep through the forwards, a slightly dangerous game but they're in control at the moment.
