Canada have had plenty of support in Ireland but their hopes of reaching the last four were ended by New Zealand earlier this afternoon.

New Zealand beat Canada 48-5 to take top spot in Pool A and become the first side to book their place in the semi-finals.

England 2014 champion Kat Merchant said of New Zealand:

"The Black Ferns are absolutely clinical and took every opportunity. They are really aggressive up front and have pace to burn out the back. I can't see anyone other than them going through as top seeds."

NZ the team to beat then?

England have played the USA in four previous World Cups.

The first meeting didn't go too well - England lost 19-6 in the 1991 final in Cardiff.

But since that inaugural competition, England have secured victories over America at the 1994, 2006 and 2010 World Cups.

England v USA (14:30 BST Billings Park, Dublin)

It's time to get down to business for England - they play USA in Dublin to see who will take the top spot in Pool B.

The United States - the three-time finalists - and England - the current world champions - are both unbeaten in this year's tournament.

It's a winner takes all match, while the other side will have a nail-biting wait.

The three group winners qualify for the semi-finals, plus the best performing runner-up from the three groups.

Neither side will want to leave anything to chance.
