    Ireland 0-3 Scotland

Scotland, straight from the restart, have been pinned back in their own half.

But they finally make some ground after a tremendous clearing kick from full-back Stuart Hogg who sends a monstrous spiral kick downfield right over the head of Keith Earls.

Ireland finally get their line-out right and throw to Peter O'Mahony, but the hosts are lacking composure here as the ball flies into touch way over Jacob Stockdale.

Scotland will be absolutely delighted to take the lead, because Ireland have had all the possession, and all the territory so far, but they find themselves 3-0 down.

    Greig Laidlaw

It's mostly been frantic Scottish defence so far, but Gregor Townsend's side have the first points of the afternoon.

Greig Laidlaw accurate as usual and the ball sails between the uprights.

Another line-out goes awry as Scotland send one loose. Neither side seemed to have figured out their set piece this afternoon.

But the Scottish defence put pressure on Ireland in their own 22, Huw Jones closes down Keith Earls and forces the Ireland winger to hold onto the ball.

    Ireland 0-0 Scotland

Ireland have dominated this opening 10 minutes in Dublin. It's been all about the kicking game, as expected, from the hosts but nothing to show for it so far.

Scotland are being peppered by kicks sent high into the grey skies, but they've stood up to the test so far, any England fans watching on will be delighted to hear.

This time the penalty at the breakdown goes in Scotland's favour, and they can clear.

But Sexton's gamble to go to the corner doesn't pay off and Scotland get in there to steal the line-out.

They're back in possession though and making ground towards the 22 as Cian Healy drives well down the middle, before Wayne Barnes pulls a frustrated Johnny Sexton for a forward pass as he tried to flick it out wide.

Sexton manages to hold his tongue, but that was a piercing stare towards the English official. Even I had to look away.

And the hosts are on the front-foot here. CJ Stander gets over the gain line and draws the penalty at the breakdown.

Wayne Barnes pulls Scotland for not rolling away. Ireland have the chance for an easy three points, but Sexton is going for the corner.

    Ireland are feeling this!

    Ireland 0-0 Scotland

We've got our first scrum of the match, Ireland with the put-in but the Scotland pack holds it's ground in the opening encounter

Conor Murray dinks a kick through down the right, with Keith Earls in pursuit but it's collected well by Sean Maitland, as the Scotland winger handles his first test.

Ireland are looking adventurous here though as Johnny Sexton hoists a spiraling ball for Kearney to chase.

    Denis Hickie

It's been a calm start from Scotland, and from their first attack they found a little bit of space on the outside. It might bode well for Scotland if they continue to find space out there, but not for Ireland.

The first, crisp instruction from Wayne Barnes as the referee calls Conor Murray to "USE IT", and the scrum-half fires a box kick high into the air.

    Ireland v Scotland (14:15 GMT)

    Rory Lawson
Former Scotland captain on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Scotland largely, have been magnificent in this Six Nations championship, and they were at Murrayfield against England. But they'll have to be 20 per cent better than they were against England to beat Ireland in Dublin.

    Ireland v Scotland (14:15 GMT)

    Denis Hickie
Former Ireland winger on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Out wide has been Ireland's achilles heel so far in this championship, Wales did it, and it looked like they could score at will at time. But also it's been hard for teams to get the ball away from Ireland for most of the teams, so if Ireland can hold onto the ball again, they'll be pretty well placed.

    Ireland v Scotland (14:15 GMT)

It's Wayne Barnes in the hot seat this afternoon. Much of the focus this will be on his refereeing of the breakdown.

Scotland dominated England in that area during their last outing at Murrayfield under the watchful eye of Nigel Owens, but can they reproduce that form in Dublin?

Five minutes until we find out. But now, time for a sing song...
