  1. France 19-9 Englandpublished at 65 mins

It seems a good time to remind ourselves that Ireland came to France in the first game of the championship, and secured the narrowest of victories after Johnny Sexton sent over a last-gasp drop-goal.

Had it not been for that dramatic finale, they would not be on for the title.

England have found the French an equally-tough opponent at the Stade de France, and have 15 minutes to get themselves out of trouble now.

Dave: Fact that Robshaw and Haskell are both on shows England have not come very far in last two years. Please put me out of my misery.

Brian: England have given away more penalties than I've had hot dinners all week! Really very poor.

It won't get tougher playing away from home than this for England - but this is where the three or four senior players need to step up.

Joy for England at the breakdown, as they finally win a penalty and Owen Farrell fires the ball downfield.

England, just to remind you, are still a man down. And as they prepare for the line-out, Kyle Sinckler comes on for Dan Cole.

But France get a finger to it and Wenceslas Lauret picks up the scraps. England have thrown away possession in a dangerous position.

Wahhheeeyyy. That's the cry from the crowd as Jaco Peyper hands France another penalty, after a nudge from the assistant referee.

Elliot Daly is adjudged to have pushed Maxime Machenaud in the back, when he looked like he was competing for the ball.

But England get their own back and win the line-out. Swings and roundabouts.

Alex Cunningham: Do England have an attack coach?

Jon and Paddy: My brother and I cycled all the way to Paris to watch this match! England didn't even bother to bring a game plan...

Chris: Mentality of the teams in this competition is so different. For England, it's the Grand Slam or nothing. For everyone else, a good tournament is one where they beat England. Today we're playing like the motivation eroded after Murrayfield.

Jonathan: When are England going to realise that the Six Nations is Test match rugby and not an end of season exhibition match.

    France 16-9 England

    Paul Grayson

That was straight out of the butchery from France - it was terrible. It was four on two and they needed to score there. The injection of energy from those French players has been magnificent - it gives them so much time.

So we have our first try, no try-scorer though.

France get the first seven-point score of the game without even crossing the whitewash.

And the hosts are on the attack again after turning over the ball on their own 40m line.

Play breaks up as Remi Grosso makes a great break down the left and they're metres from the try-line here...

But they're held up. A tough scrum for England with a player in the bin.
