Sporty Milo: Spending the day gorging on Bond films while Italy gorge on a lacklustre Scotland. Thrilling final day of the Six Nations.

Jonathan Marshall: Amazing rugby by Italy! It's how I envisaged Scotland playing but the Scots are getting rocked! Great game!

Dave Sommerville: Scotland can beat England but are losing to Italy - they're like the new France, you never know which one will turn up

    Tom Fordyce
    Chief sports writer at Twickenham

Judging by the cheers rolling round the Twickenham stadium bars, England supporters are enjoying a little revenge by Azzurri proxy on their conquerors at Murrayfield three weeks ago.

This is patient work from the Scots. We're into the 14th phase but John Barclay is grimacing.

He's not injured, just frustrated. His side knock the ball on in a good position and waste another opportunity.

And in the break in play, Italian hero Jake Pelledri jogs off for a well-earned break. That was a really bright start to his international career.

Anonymous: Embarrassing from Scotland 3 defeats away from home and the amount of points we have lost Townsend and co need to go.

    They've not lost yet...

Oh and don't forget to put your name on your texts, folks.

That's a monstrous kick from Peter Horne off the left boot but the bounce isn't favourable and Jaydan Hayward will keep this in play.

His kick lands safely in the hands of Stuart Hogg and Scotland start their attack from deep. Nick Grigg, on his first Six Nations start, takes his team to the half-way line with another good carry.

Credit to the forwards for taking advantage of the penalty safety net. Laidlaw produces a lovely 15m pass and Maitland takes it nicely before stepping in to take the try.

Scotland have hauled themselves back into it. Now they have to not let Italy back into the game and I'm interested to see what the Italian mindset is now.

Converted try - Italy 24-19 Scotlandpublished at 62 mins

    Sean Maitland, con Greig Laidlaw

That was all about the pass from Greig Laidlaw.

The stand-in fly-half floats a perfect ball to Sean Maitland who steps back inside and jogs over the line.

And Laidlaw adds the extras too. Scotland are right back in this.

    Stuart HoggImage source, Rex Features

Might it come down to this man to salvage victory for Scotland?

Stuart Hogg is the leading metre-maker and defender-beater for the visitors with 68 and three respectively.

Scotland are certainly trying to get him on the ball. He has had 11 carries.

But they Scots won't score from the driving maul. They're going to have to do it the hard way.

A penalty is coming as Peter Horne tries a dummy but the centre is wrapped up by Sergio Parisse and Stuart Hogg knocks on.

We'll come back for the infringement and Scotland will have another shot here from the line-out.

But Scotland have a chance here to save themselves an embarrassment.

Ali Price hands to Ryan Wilson as the hosts try to muscle their way through this resilient Italian defence.

Hamish Watson is driven back and Italy have an intercept but Pascal Gauzere blows for offside. Stuart Hogg pops the ball straight into the corner.

And the flanker is playing like a man possessed.

The 22-year-old has made 25 metres, 11 carrries, beaten three defenders, assisted a try and won two turnovers. Decent stats.

  14. From Subway to Romepublished at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    Italy 24-12 Scotland

Italy try creator Jake Polledri is making an impressive debut for his country today less than a year after finally finishing his job at popular sandwich cafe Subway.

    (Others sandwich providers are available)

The young flanker, who was discarded by Bristol as a teenager but now plays for Gloucester, qualifies for Italy through his grandparents and played a starring role for Hartpury in their rise up the divisions.

Now he's strutting his stuff in front of 73,000 fans at the Olympic Stadium and putting Scotland to the sword.

  15. Replacementpublished at 55 mins

    Italy 24-12 Scotland

There's a concern here for Scotland as Finn Russell looks like he's limping off the field. Ali Price is coming on and Greig Laidlaw will move back to fly-half.

That's the end of Russell's tournament after a big hit from Sebastian Negri.

    Chris CuisterImage source, Twitter

Former Scotland scrum-half Chris Cuister is hoping Scotland can weather this storm.

His Twitter biography says he is now working in the whisky business in California - which sounds like one heck of a post-rugby gig.

  17. Replacementspublished at 52 mins

    Italy 24-12 Scotland

Both sides are blowing a bit here. It's been a frantic start to the second half.

Leonardo Ghiarldini is flat out on his back. Doesn't look like there's anything wrong, he's just having a break.

Braam Steyn comes on for the Italians and off goes Alessandro Zanni.

Meanwhile for Scotland, Peter Horne and Richie Gray enter the fray with Huw Jones and Tim Swinson moved to the bench.

  18. Wilson quietpublished at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    Italy 24-12 Scotland

    Ryan WilsonImage source, PA

In a Scotland side that is not playing well, Ryan Wilson is underperforming.

The number eight has missed two of his 13 tackles and has made only six carries - the fewest of any of the Scotland pack back five.

  19. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Italy 24-12 Scotland

It doesn't look like Finn Russell got anything on that and it stays as an Italian knock-on. Sergio Parisse is calling for a yellow card but the TMO and Pascal Gauzere decide there's no clear evidence.

Scotland with a huge defensive scrum now on their own line and Greig Laidlaw is in to congratulate his forwards. Italy fold and the visitors will escape with the penalty.

  20. Another let-offpublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    Italy 24-12 Scotland

    Al Kellock
Former Scotland captain on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Italy have just blown an absolute sitter with another knock-on. They are completely rampant at the moment. Scotland are missing tackles all over the place and with the try-line looming, Italy couldn't capitalise.
