Penalty Connacht. High tackle from Juan Pablo Socino. Carty is going for goal from straight in front of the posts.

  2. Connacht pressing hardpublished at 75 mins

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

Connacht have the ball and a penalty advantage inside the Edinburgh 22. They need to score here to set up a grandstand finale.

  3. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

Connacht win a free-kick from the scrum for an early drive and they can attack again. Perhaps a few nerves around Murrayfield just now...

  4. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

Connacht are playing with real zip and tempo, Jack Carty standing flat and threatening the gain-line. They make yards, powering towards te Edinburgh 22, but again there's an error.

Matt Healy's pass is too hot for Coly Fainga'a to handle, and the flanker fumbles it forward. He probably should have held that one.

  5. 'It only takes one missed tackle'published at 71 mins

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Connacht have got to score twice but the way they've upped the tempo in the last five or six minutes...it only takes one missed tackle. Edinburgh have just got to close out the final 10 minutes. Territory is what they're looking for.

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

    Colin Gregor
Former Scotland sevens captain on Radio Scotland

Good passage of attack from Connacht but Edinburgh's defence was comfortable. They were making their tackles, getting back on their feet, applying pressure. While Connacht were going through phases, they weren't really making much headway and eventually, they make the error.

  7. Healy snipespublished at 68 mins

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

Matt Healy absolutely skins Dougie Fife with a step and sprint up the left touchline. Blair Kinghorn comes to the rescue, hauling down Blade behind the gain-line and dragging him backwards by his shirt. Taking out the trash, I believe they call that.

It's still Connacht possession, and it's very fast and loose, but big Gavin Thornbury just loses the ball in the tackle.

  8. Where's Pierre?published at 67 mins

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

Somewhere in that mountain of bodies is Edinburgh's second try-scorer, Pierre Schoeman.

His team have got some defending to do now...

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

You can see the confidence that try has given Connacht. Their tails are up and they're trying to pen Edinburgh in their own half with probing kicks.

A superb line-out steal from Grant Gilchrist, using every inch of his 6'8 frame, allows Edinburgh to release the pressure a little.

  10. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Edinburgh 17-7 Connacht

One South African replaces another as Allan Dell comes on for try-scorer Pierre Schoeman.

  11. 'Edinburgh will be nervous'published at 64 mins

Edinburgh will be nervous now. It comes from the breakdown, McKenzie in from the side, giving away a soft, soft penalty.

They defend the line-out pretty well but they're playing against a penalty advantage. It's just such a soft try to give away having defended so well.

    Jack Carty

Beautiful touchline conversion from Jack Carty. Connacht have a lifeline.

  13. try

Try Edinburgh 17-5 Connachtpublished at 62 mins

    Niyi Adeolokun

Connacht win a penalty as Fraser McKenzie is adjudged to have entered a ruck from the side. They punt the ball deep into the Edinburgh 22 and drive their way to within five metres of the try-line.

A long, looping Jack Carty pass finds Niyi Adeolokun right on the touchline and the winger scrambles over.

The game is starting to open up, the guys are getting weaker and there are more mistakes and turnovers.

  15. Aki looking rustypublished at 60 mins

    Edinburgh 17-0 Connacht

Bundee Aki is having an evening to forget so far. It's his first outing of the season and he looks a bit rusty. He's spilled one ball under no pressure and pretty much fresh aired a kick inside his own 22.

  16. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Edinburgh 17-0 Connacht

More changes for Edinburgh, as Juan Pablo Socino, the Argentina back, comes on for his debut replacing James Johnstone. Veteran Fraser McKenzie is on for Ben Toolis.

Connacht's Ultan Dillane makes his way to the touchline, with James Cannon coming on. Finlay Bealham has also been replaced by Dominic Robertson-McCoy.

  17. 'Edinburgh need to keep playing'published at 57 mins

    Edinburgh 17-0 Connacht

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Edinburgh need to keep playing. They don't want to start panicking about getting a four-try bonus point. Keep putting them under pressure. The next one must be a yellow card - Connacht have conceded 13!

  18. converted try

    Jaco van der Walt

Van der Walt adds the extras.

Bundee Aki spills the ball a few phases after the kick-off and Edinburgh can attack again.

  19. try

Try Edinburgh 15-0 Connachtpublished at 56 mins

    Pierre Schoeman

I thought Ian Davies should have asked the TMO for 'any reason he could not award the try' rather than 'try, yes or no?' but the outcome is the same.

Pierre Schoeman was the man in possession as the maul trundled over the whitewash. Edinburgh have their second try. It's the big South African's first for his new club.

  20. Try reviewpublished at 56 mins

    Edinburgh 10-0 Connacht

Everyone piles into that maul for Edinburgh...Van der Walt, Van der Merwe, Pyrgos...they squeeze their way over the try-line and have surely got the ball down.

    We're going to the TMO.
