    Northampton and England flanker Tom Wood has been telling 5 live sport about how Rob Horne's retirement has impacted on the Saints squad.

    "This took us all off guard. It is heartbreaking. Rob is a warrior of a bloke," he said.

    For their away trip Gloucester head coach Johan Ackermann has decided to stick with a trusted formula.

    The recently named Gallagher Premiership Player of the Month, Danny Cipriani, starts at fly-half and the one amendment to their XV comes just outside of him.

    Billy Twelvetrees replaces Henry Trinder at outside centre and Twelvetrees will partner Mark Atkinson in the midfield.

    Ahead of Wasps’ encounter with the Cherry and Whites, Dai Young has made a plethora of changes including Billy Searle taking Lima Sopoaga’s place at fly-half. The All Black is unavailable due to a neck injury.

    Internationals Ben Youngs and Manu Tuilagi are back in Leicester’s starting line-up – Youngs appeared off the bench last week while Tuilagi wasn’t part of their round five match.

    Jonah Holmes also comes into the backline and there is one change in the forward pack - Harry Wells replaces Graham Kitchener.

    On the bench, interim head coach Geordan Murphy continues to put his faith in the club’s young talent with a quartet of England U20s players - Joe Heyes, Sam Lewis, Tom Hardwick and Jordan Olowofela - ready to emerge when required.

    Northampton have been raising funds for Rob Horne since this special derby match was announced in August. The club’s aim, quite simply, is to raise as much as possible for his family and his ongoing rehabilitation.

    The club has donated £5 on behalf of every season ticket holder to get the ball rolling, and thousands of pounds have since been raised with supporters also contributing during match ticket purchases.

    The afternoon’s action starts at the home of England Rugby for a very, very good reason. Today Twickenham Stadium has opened its doors for ‘The Derby’, a vitally important match that is being played in aid of an inspirational man.

    On 14 April this year Rob Horne’s life changed forever after a routine hard tackle at the start of Northampton’s East Midlands derby at Leicester. The tackle left him with severe nerve damage and paralysis in his right arm.

    The manner in which Horne is handling such a life-changing injury is truly inspiring as you can see from his words below.

    "I was probably in shock for a while, but I didn't get that low. A lot of people close to me were a bit worried that I was coping too well. How I responded to that was 'who says you have to hit rock bottom to bounce back?'”
