Charlie Rhodes: That’s got to be up there for one of the best disallowed tries!

At The Dan Coleface: Stunning kick from N’tamack to Fickou. Such a shame that try wasn’t given.

France could have had two tries – these small moments are catching them out with the TMO. But they are playing well, and you can see they are all playing for each other.

France are denied a stunning score.

It ended with Romain Ntamack floating a beautiful chip-kick for the onrushing Fickou to gather and score.

But, after Peter Horne fumbled a high ball, Wenceslas Lauret had knocked it on.

Scotland survive another scare but even with an extra man, they're toiling.

That is sensational. With 14 men, France might well have scored another belter. We're checking with the TMO.

    France 10-3 Scotland

Here's a look at Damian Penaud's early effort, which was ruled out by the TMO for a knock-on in the build-up.

  7. 14-man France repel Scotlandpublished at 30 mins

    France 10-3 Scotland

Scotland send the penalty to the corner and assemble their big bruisers for a crack at the whitewash and France's depleted defence.

They can't get the job done, though. Louis Picamoles, the colossal number eight, gets over the ball and wins France a penalty in the shadow of the home posts.

It's really powerful French defence from a hugely abrasive forward pack.

  8. Sin-bin Yoann Hugetpublished at 28 mins

    France 10-3 Scotland

Referee Nic Berry warned Guirado after that penalty that the next French infringement would be punished with a sin-bin.

Berry's warning is not heeded. Yoann Huget gets on the wrong side of a ruck and blocks Scottish possession. He's off for 10 minutes.

Just before that, there was a brilliant aerial take by Jamie Ritchie to win Scotland the ball.

Guirado is also being sent for a head injury assessment following that thunderous crash with Dell. Camille Chat comes on at hooker.

Some pace to this game since France have scored and Scotland have been in control of the ball. They're not letting France get settled. A couple of times Bastareaud in particular has been close to winning turnovers at the breakdown but Scotland have just managed to clear him. It's now about Scotland getting some points on the board from this sustained pressure they're building.

  10. Penalty - France 10-3 Scotlandpublished at 27 mins

    Greig Laidlaw

Another Scottish penalty as a France player enters a ruck from the side.

This one is right in front of the posts and Laidlaw has no bother knocking it over.

He's now overtaken Gavin Hastings to become Scotland's second-highest points-scorer of all time.

Scotland attack again with Tommy Seymour and Blair Kinghorn making good inroads.

Play is halted, though, because Guirado is down after a collision with Allan Dell.

An outstanding response from Scotland though. It's exactly what they needed. They needed to get a hold of ball and get some tempo in their attack

France are being so physical. Scotland have not managed to get over the gain line very often but Peter Horne did well and I think the visitors might be targeting Mathieu Bastareaud in the midfield.

    France 10-0 Scotland

You don't see Greig Laidlaw miss too many, but the Scotland captain strikes the far post with his penalty attempt and his team remain without a point.

  16. Horne gets smashedpublished at 23 mins

    France 10-0 Scotland

Here come Scotland. This is much better from the visitors as Peter Horne picks a really clever line through the French defence.

The hits are absolutely flying in from the France monsters, though. Horne gets absolutely thumped by Guilhem Guirado. That was car-crash stuff. Horne did very well to recycle the ball but he might have cracked a few ribs...

Scotland do win a penalty a phase later and Greig Laidlaw goes for goal.

This has been the perfect start from France. The energy, they have crowd behind them, the forwards are playing with power and the backs have been electric.

  19. Scotland on the ropespublished at 18 mins

    France 7-0 Scotland

France really have their tails up now and Scotland are looking rattled.

Blair Kinghorn spills the ball out wide, desperately trying to generate some attack, and off go the French again.

Sean Maitland does brilliantly to gather Gael Fickou's bobbling kick right on his own try line, but Scotland are under so much pressure that Sam Johnson gets isolated and gives away a penalty under the posts.

    Ramos goes for goal.

You saw the brilliant French support play - three or four of them could have scored, but brilliant from Ntamack to finish off.
