    Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Quote Message

That is the difference. Once Wales get into the 22, everybody seems to know what they are doing. On the flip side, Scotland seem to be very individual and that is not a good sign.

  2. Russell rocket-passpublished at 48 mins

    Scotland 6-15 Wales

Well, that's pretty much this game in microcosm.

Dell's rumble brings Scotland right into the danger zone, but Russell zips a pass miles behind Darcy Graham and into touch to let the pressure off and sap the excitement from the crowd.

Yet another injury - and a really worrying one for Wales. Their brilliant full-back Liam Williams is led off cradling his right arm. Dan Biggar comes on, with Gareth Anscombe shifting back to full-back.

  3. Dell on the rampagepublished at 47 mins

    Scotland 6-15 Wales

We've seen that before...Scotland fail to find touch from the penalty they win on halfway.

But Wales kick it back to them and off they go on the counter. A thunderous - and frankly hilarious - rampage from Allan Dell drives Scotland into the Welsh 22. It just opened up for the mobile prop to canter away.

Murrayfield is noisy now, all right. Can Scotland deliver?

  4. Scots cry out for better atmospherepublished at 45 mins

    Scotland 6-15 Wales

Wales aren't too far away from escaping up the left flank through Adams again but Davies' pass is a sloppy one and it bounces forward en route to the winger.

Murrayfield is morgue-like just now. The home fans have had precious little to cheer about. Jonny Gray waves his arms, asking for them to find their voices, as Jamie Ritchie and Adams provide a wee bit of needle with a spot of off-the-ball grappling.

  5. Scotland 'lacking in old-school values'published at 44 mins

    Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

    Quote Message

Rugby can be unbelievably complicated, but unless you get the old-school values like a bit of pride, a bit of aggression, a bit of heart, you can forget about it. And I think Scotland are lacking in that department today.

  6. We go to the skiespublished at 43 mins

    Scotland 6-15 Wales

There's a bit of aerial duelling in the early skirmishes of the first half, the highlight of which is prop Allan Dell haring back to rescue a chip-kick.

The booting battle culminates with a sliced clearance from Darcy Graham handing Wales a line-out inside Scottish territory.

  7. Kick-offpublished at 41 mins

    Scotland 6-15 Wales

No half-time changes after a spate of injuries in the opening 40 minutes.

  9. 'Wales have won virtually very battle'published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Adrian Hadley
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

    Quote Message

Wales have been excellent. They've won virtually every battle on the pitch. They need to keep doing what they've been doing. Apart from a few moments, they've totally controlled the game.

  10. Wales in cruise controlpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

Wales are well on their way to extending their record run of 13 straight wins, and Alun Wyn Jones is poised to notch a record 62nd victory in the colours of his country.

  11. 'It's a quiet Scotland performance'published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

    Quote Message

Wales will be really surprised. Warren Gatland will be in that dressing room thinking, is this all Scotland have got? Because this is a quiet stadium, and it's a quiet Scotland performance.

  12. 'Wales are showing Scotland how to play'published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Andy Nicol
Former Scotland international on BBC One

    Quote Message

None of the Scottish errors are catastrophic but they compound each other which means they fail to get any momentum. Wales are showing Scotland how to play this game and it's down to the players making better calls.

  13. Davies try 'perfect' tacticspublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

BBC Sport Wales' Dafydd Prtichard with a pretty fair and succinct appraisal of that Davies score.

  14. Scotland have 'backs to the wall'published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Andy Nicol
Former Scotland international on BBC One

    Quote Message

Scotland have to regroup. There have been a few glimpses through Darcy Graham but it has been backs-to-the-walls stuff. The players have to make better decisions.

  15. Davies blasts over for second Welsh trypublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

No controversy about this try, just some marvellous, controlled rugby.

Twenty-three phases by my count in the Scottish 22, two riveting bursts from Hadleigh Parkes, and a classy finish by Jonathan Davies.

Wales were sharp, clever, and knew exactly what they were doing here.

Ross Quinn: Disgustingly clear forward pass for the first try as well... but considering we didn't bother to tackle it's our own fault

  17. 'Wales are streets ahead'published at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

Wales have played to their strengths and you wouldn't expect anything other than that. It's been a good encounter, but Wales are streets ahead at the moment.

Other supporters in the Six Nations have no idea how horrendous it is to be a Scottish rugby fan. It's the hope that kills you.

  19. Scotland have 'withstood a Welsh onslaught'published at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    HT: Scotland 6-15 Wales

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

It's about character and heart for Scotland now. They conceded points a little too easily in this first half. In the last 10 minutes or so they've been under pressure and they've withstood a Welsh onslaught.

  20. First half follows the expected patternpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC One

    Quote Message

We talked about the dominance of the Welsh forwards and the Scottish mistakes ahead of the game, and that is exactly what we've seen in the first half.
