    What a first half.

When Exeter have previously played Saracens here they have been blown away in the opening 40 minutes.

When Henry Slade was sin-binned early on and Sarries went over twice you felt it was going to happen for a third time.

But Exeter have shown superb strength of character to take the game to the European champions.

I cannot wait for the second half!

As these teams came off, the Exeter team sprinted off. Half of the Saracens team walked off the field looking extremely tired.

Managed to catch your breath yet?

It's worth remembering the biggest come-back to win a Premiership final is just six points.

Northampton came from 6-0 down to beat Saracens in 2014, after 32 minutes.

Saracens were 7-0 down inside a minute today, and Exeter trailed 13-7 after 15 minutes.

If the second 40 is as good as that 40 then don't go anywhere.

Exeter get a penalty from the scrum.

It's central, and for once they'll go for the sticks.

The Chiefs are about five metres out and still plugging away. Jack Nowell finds some space and is stopped short.

Then the Devonians do go over... but the ball is held up by a red-shirted defender.

Five-metre scrum to come, with fewer than 15 seconds remaining until the break.

Exeter keep going through the phases - more than 15 now - but the Saracens defence is standing firm as things stand.

The Chiefs are gaining ground though, and are well inside the Saracens 22.

Exeter full-back Jack Nowell does well to claim a high ball under pressure on half-way.

That means Chiefs have another chance to mount an attack before the first half is out.

That kick should get Farrell back on track. He smashed it through the middle.

It's a lesson for Exeter. They can't give cheap penalties away.

Observers often say Exeter are just a side that grinds you down from close range.

But this afternoon they are showing how excellent their backs are - yes their tries have all come from a metre or so out, but the play in getting there has been excellent.

That one is straight and true from Saracens fly-half Owen Farrell.

Exeter flanker Don Armand has completed his HIA and is back on for Sam Skinner.

Small Man Peaky: Is Farrell’s poor kicking going to be the difference in this game?

Rhys Parker: Heart says Exeter - head says Sarries. Watching in Hong Kong...half a world away from Devon.

Some brilliant running and lines from Exeter brings them back to within touching distance of the Saracens line.

Kudos to Jack Nowell and Joe Simmonds, who both wriggled away from tackles to gain some ground.

A big hit comes in to close down Henry Slade, but Chiefs keep going through the phases and Jonny Hill has the strength to hold off a couple of red shirts and reach over.

Joe Simmonds misses the conversion. It's not been a day for the kickers so far.

Saracens win a free-kick and welcome back Maro Itoje from the sin-bin.

So, Exeter back in front and have about another five minutes with a man advantage.

The game has been so high-tempo so far, there has been little time for tactics. Great viewing for the fans though.
