  1. Conference B race still very much onpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    FT: Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

So, a belter of a night for Edinburgh, who win on the road for just the second time this season and stun a team packed with Wales Grand Slam-winners.

Next up, they host second-placed Ulster, who are now just three points above them, and then a massive final-day derby with Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun.

Richard Cockerill led Edinburgh to the play-offs for the first time last year in his maiden term in charge. This year, they've made the Champions Cup quarter-finals by topping their pool, and they're still just about on course to be a play-off team again.

We'll have reaction from both coaches on the website later tonight. For now, thanks for your company, and enjoy the rest of your Saturday.

  2. Dejected Scarlets in deep troublepublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    FT: Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Scarlets will be devastated after that. From 12-0 up at the break, they failed to score a single point in the second half and conceded 20. They take no points from this game and that's a massive blow to their play-off push.

The region are fifth in Conference B, six behind Edinburgh and five adrift of Benetton.

And that could still change, with the Italian side leading Leinster in Dublin 13-6.

Wayne Pivac's men are not down and out, though. Their final two fixtures come against the two teams propping up either conerence.

Zebre visit Llanelli a week today before they tackle Dragons in the final round of regular-season fixtures. They'll need to win both and probably bag a bonus point from each to have a chance of finishing third.

  3. Walt-zing for Edinburghpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    FT: Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Some cracking stats for Jaco van der Walt after that 15-point haul.

As well as his opportunistic try and four kicks at goal, the South African pivot managed 58m with ball in hand and unleashed some lovely touch-finders.

He was actually the game's top tackler too, making 18 and missing four.

  4. Edinburgh on the uppublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    FT: Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Twenty unanswered second-half points for Edinburgh, with man-of-the-match Jaco van der Walt contributing 15 with a try, two conversions and two penalties, and Matt Scott also crossing.

They've resurrected their play-off bid in considerable style and leave Scarlets six points adrift of the top three with two games remaining.

  5. Full-time Scarlets 12-20 Edinburghpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

A colossal victory for Edinburgh. They've managed this second half superbly.

They take third spot in Pro14 Conference B - how long they'll stay there depends on how Benetton get on in Dublin.

At the moment, they're leading Leinster 10-6 with 33 minutes gone.

  6. Fumbledpublished at 80 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinbrugh

With 15 seconds left on the clock, Kieron Fonotia knocks on under no pressure.

That's been the story of the second half for Scarlets.

Edinburgh have the scrum and have the win. They need to get the ball back and kick it out and that will be that.

  7. A last chance for Scarletspublished at 80 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Edinburgh have the ball with 90 seconds remaining but they dive in off their feet as they look to pick-and-go their way to the win.

Dan Jones launches the ball long. Scarlets can still salvage a losing bonus point in the final minute of the match, although winning now looks beyond them.

  8. Edinburgh almost there...published at 78 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Another Edinburgh penalty, this one for not rolling away after a maul becomes a carry.

Jaco van der Walt pops it into the corner again.

Just over two minutes to go now. Edinburgh are just about there. And they're also denying Scarlets what could be a vital bonus point.

  9. Hoyland and Graham to the rescue for Edinburghpublished at 77 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Edinburgh just about secure the scrum and will be quite content to use their hefty pack to march through a phase or two on halfway.

Pyrgos box-kicks long and Scarlets have the ball back on their own 22.

Gareth Davies is absolutely melted high by Mata but Scarlets break up the left on a trademark attack. Halfpenny surges towards the Edinburgh 22 but he's tracked all the way by Damien Hoyland and Darcy Graham gets over ball and wins a crucial penalty.

What a fantastic game Edinburgh's full-back is having.

  10. Watch out, George!published at 73 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Bill Mata scoops up the ball at the base of the Edinburgh scrum and looks to rumble a few yards forwards for his team.

Referee George Clancy has to take very sharp evasive action - you really don't want to be getting in the way of a 6ft 7ins, 115kg Fijian, as any number of opposition players will attest.

Edinburgh clear and there's another Scarlets knock-on near halfway.

Parc y Scarlets is very quiet just now. They had a firm grip on this game with a 12-0 lead at half-time, but it's changed quite spectacularly.

  11. Stunned Parc y Scarletspublished at 72 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Parc y Scarlets

Parc y Scarlets has gone quiet after the home faithful can't quite believe what has happened with a second half 20-point spree from Edinburgh.

As soon as the ball left Halfpenny's hands it was going to be intercepted by Van der Walt for his opportunistic try and seemed to take an age to play out. For the Scarlets supporters, it will have felt like watching a car crash in slow motion.

  12. Can Edinburgh improve barren away record?published at 71 mins

    Scarlets 12-20 Edinburgh

Edinburgh have won a single away game from nine attempts in this season's Pro14. That came against inter-city rivals Glasgow.

Scarlets attack but spill the ball deep in the Edinburgh 22. Nine minutes to go. Edinburgh scrum. Scarlets need to conjure something - and fast.

  13. Penalty Scarlets 12-20 Edinburghpublished at 70 mins

    Jaco van der Walt

That's a massive blow. Eleven minutes to play, Scarlets need to score twice to win.

  14. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Scarlets 12-17 Edinburgh

Scarlets concede a penalty immediately from the restart as Johnny McNicholl takes out Stuart McInally in the air.

The home crowd are incensed minutes later as George Clancy gives Edinburgh a very kickable penalty despite a huge Ken Owens hit. The hooker thumped Magnus Bradbury but doesn't allow the replacement to release the ball.

Jaco van der Walt has a huge chance to put his team two scores ahead - nearly straight in front, about 35m out.

  15. There's been a try in Dublin...published at 20:08 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

...and it's gone the way of the visitors!

Benetton lead Leinster 7-3. The Italians will not give up third spot in Conference B without a serious fight.

Remember, that game kicked off about an hour after this one, so there are only around 20 minutes gone.

  16. converted try

Converted try Scarlets 12-17 Edinburghpublished at 65 mins

    Jaco van der Walt

Oh my! What a moment that could be!

Halfpenny's off-load from the ground is brilliantly seen and picked off by Jaco van der Walt, who races away untouched to give Edinburgh the lead for the first time.

The South African adds the extras and suddenly, Edinburgh are five points ahead.

  17. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Scarlets 12-10 Edinburgh

Another Pyrgos box-kick puts very little pressure on the home defence.

Halfpenny takes under no pressure. Van der Walt brings him down and gets penalised for not rolling away.

Scarlets go for the corner but their line-out is stolen and Hamish Watson powers away with the ball.

    Edinburgh clear through Pyrgos.

  18. converted try

Converted try Scarlets 12-10 Edinburghpublished at 60 mins

    Matt Scott

    Well-taken try from Matt Scott.

The maul was stopped just a couple of metres short. Hamish Watson peels off and runs sideways, inviting his team-mates to cut a line off him.

Watson kept two defenders busy and popped to the onrushing Scott, running a clever angle, to canter home untouched.

Van der Walt adds the extras. Edinburgh have grappled their way right back into this one.

  19. Edinburgh continue to presspublished at 60 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

What a glorious, searing break from Darcy Graham. He's been Edinburgh's most potent attacking force and he brings them thundering into the home 22.

Scarlets are offside and Edinburgh have a penalty. Van der Walt is instructed to go to the corner.

  20. Scarlets under pressurepublished at 57 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

Jaco van der Walt sends a raking kick in behind Leigh Halfpenny and bounces the ball into touch at the corner.

That's a really good kick with his side's attack going nowhere around halfway.

Scarlets exit calmly, though. Jonathan Davies' left boot is the tool to get them out of bother. Edinburgh line-out around five metres outside the 22.
