  1. Edinburgh off the hookpublished at 56 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

Wow, what a scintillating break from Scarlets.

They make a three-on-two up the right flank count with Jonathan Davies' distribution brilliant.

He takes the ball back from McNicholl but gets hauled down just short by Duhan van der Merwe and company.

Scarlets continue attacking but play is halted - the assistant referee spotted a neck roll by Leigh Halfpenny and Edinburgh have a penalty and an easy route out of the danger zone.

  2. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

Well, that was a bit nuts.

Ben Toolis nicks the line-out back for Edinburgh.

Bill Mata knocks it on a phase later.

Scarlets counter, Steff Evans parries a pass, then regathers it, before being hauled into touch.

Edinburgh kick downfield from the next line-out and it's Scarlets' ball just outside their own 22.

  3. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

Damien Hoyland loses the ball in contact on the first phase of that attack and Steff Evans boots clear.

It's only as far as Darcy Graham, though, who punctures the home chasing defence brilliantly.

Now Edinburgh have a chance to get in behind, but Pyrgos fires the ball up the blind-side behind his runners and into touch.

  4. Owens returnspublished at 49 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

Uzair Cassiem takes his eye off a pass and knocks it forward.

Edinburgh scrum just inside their own half - this will be their last opportunity to attack Scarlets while they're down to 14 men.

Scarlets don't add another player to the scrum to compensate for Owens' absence, so the Edinburgh pack pulverises them and wins a penalty.

Van der Walt thumps it out just shy of the home 22 and Owens trots back on to the field.

  5. Davies chops down Grahampublished at 47 mins

    Scarlets 12-3 Edinburgh

Edinburgh try a sneaky exit ploy and it almost comes off.

Having box-kicked so many times, Henry Pyrgos shapes to do just that on the 22m line, but instead releases his backline.

Edinburgh get it out to Darcy Graham and try to use his pace, but a masterful tracking run and textbook tackle from Jonathan Davies halt him mid-stride, and his off-load from the ground goes forward.

Now it's Scarlets on the front foot.

  6. Penalty Scarlets 12-3 Edinburghpublished at 46 mins

    Jaco van der Walt

Edinburgh, at last, are off the mark.

Cockerill makes another change, this time in the front-row. The massive Simon Berghan replaces WP Nel at tight-head.

There are still about three minutes of Ken Owens' sin-bin period to play.

  7. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Edinburgh fire through some phases and win a penalty straight in front of the posts, about 30m out.

Can Van der Walt hit the target this time?

  8. Off comes Barclaypublished at 42 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

A standing ovation for John Barclay, who was a phenomenal presence in Scarlets ranks for five years, as he troops off.

It's been a frustrating night for the Edinburgh back-row.

    On comes Magnus Bradbury.

  9. Kick-offpublished at 41 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Jaco van der Walt gets the second half off and running.

Steff Evans gets under the deep restart and puts the ball into touch just outside the Scarlets 22.

First chance for Edinburgh to attack after the interval - and remember they're up against 14 men with Ken Owens in the bin.

The assault is short-lived, though. Barclay gets stripped of the ball and Scarlets break. Gareth Davies is tackled into touch just shy of halfway.

Edinburgh saddle up again. They really need something.

  10. Here come the teams...published at 19:41 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    HT: Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Right then. Enough of the numbers.

Scarlets in pole position to ramp up their play-off bid and strike a huge dent in Edinburgh's.

The teams are back out for the second half.

  11. Brilliant Boydepublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    HT: Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Will Boyde was everywhere in defence in that first half - although he hasn't yet touched the ball, according to the match stats.

Eight tackles so far with none missed for the flanker. He splintered one Edinburgh maul and created at least one more turnover at the breakdown.

  12. Halfpenny on the rampagepublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    HT: Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Leigh Halfpenny delivered an outstanding first-half display.

The Lion has made seven carries for 46m, one clean break, and beaten four defenders.

He made the searing inside break that led to Gareth Davies' opening try.

  13. Half-time Scarlets 12-0 Edinburghpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

That's that for the first 40 minutes.

Scarlets are well in control after excellent tries from Gareth Davies and Jonathan Davies.

While the thunderous breakdown battle is about 50-50 for the moment, the home side have been a class above in attack with the pace, variety and patience of their play.

Edinburgh really should have scored a minute before the interval. Their maul was illegally disrupted by Ken Owens and rather than go for the corner, they went for three points - but Jaco van der Walt missed from the tee.

  14. Sin-bin Ken Owenspublished at 38 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

He's barely been back on the pitch two minutes, and the Scarlets skipper is heading off again.

Edinburgh rumble the maul within a metre or two of the line, but Owens halts the drive illegally and is sent for 10 minutes on the naughty step.

Interestingly, Edinburgh are going for three points...and Van der Walt skews wide from the tee. That's a maddening minute or so for Richard Cockerill.

No try, no penalty, still without a score, still two tries behind. A minute of the first half left.

  15. Edinburgh come againpublished at 37 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

It's all a bit scrappy from Edinburgh just now. Their attack is a bit rushed and a bit forced and Scarlets are picking them off.

Will Boyde is at the forefront, burrowing over an isolated ball-carrier but Dan Jones fumbles forward as he looks to complete the turnover.

Ken Owens has come back on after having his head wound patched up, with Marc Jones retreating to the bench for now.

Edinburgh win a scrum penalty this time and again Van der Walt sends the ball down to the corner...goodness me, it's a hell of a kick, it looks like it flies almost directly over the corner flag.

He couldn't have placed that any closer without putting it dead. Line-out, five metres out, Edinburgh throw-in.

  16. Clancy lays down the lawpublished at 35 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

"This is not the kind of football anyone came here to see," warns referee George Clancy after two scrums hit the deck with no satisfactory conclusion.

The Scarlets clear the ball away from the third and look to the run the ball out from their own 22.

  17. Scarlets maul defence stymies Edinburghpublished at 34 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Edinburgh win a penalty and Van der Walt puts it out in the home 22.

The maul is a great source of success for Edinburgh but Will Boyde does a cracking job of infiltrating the away shunt, catching Stuart McInally in possession and the back, and winning his team a scrum.

  18. Barclay in botherpublished at 29 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

Things are getting worse for Edinburgh. John Barclay was down in the lead-up to that Jonathan Davies try and he's in need of some more treatment minutes later as Scarlets win another penalty for holding on.

It looks like Owens clashed heads pretty violently with his old mucker Ken Owens, who is off to patch up his bleeding noggin.

Scarlets go close again from the line-out, but Halfpenny's pass to Evans is forward and fumbled into touch.

Evans would have had a one-on-one with Van der Merwe in the corner had the pass been good.

  19. Scarlets savour spring successpublished at 27 mins

    Scarlets 12-0 Edinburgh

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Parc y Scarlets

When the sun is shining towards the end of the season, Scarlets tend to play their best rugby and that is what makes them such a dangerous side in a play-off scenario.

Dan Jones quick 22m drop-out collected by Johnny McNicholl ended up with Steff Evans putting over Jonathan Davies in the left-hand corner.

    Stunning stuff.

  20. try

Try Scarlets 12-0 Edinburghpublished at 26 mins

    Jonathan Davies

What a lovely try. It all came from the quick thinking of Jones and McNicholl.

They kept the ball well, drew in Edinburgh's defenders, and released Evans up the left flank.

Darcy Graham scampers across but Evans pops it inside to Jonathan Davies, who crashes in.

Leigh Halfpenny drills the touchline conversion across the face, but this is a commanding lead for Scarlets.
