  2. Cockerill fields all-Scotland midfield pairingpublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Scarlets v Edinburgh (18:45)

Edinburgh lost a nail-biting Champions Cup quarter-final to Munster a week ago - a game they had enough ball and red-zone possession to win.

Richard Cockerill makes only two changes to a very strong starting XV. Scotland centres Mark Bennett and Matt Scott - both ravaged by injuries in recent years - replace Chris Dean and James Johnstone, with the latter hurt last weekend.

  3. Pivac brings back the big gunspublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Scarlets v Edinburgh (18:45)

Unsurprisingly, Wayne Pivac is rolling out his heavy artillery for this whale of a game.

Six of Wales' Grand Slam-winning squad are back in the starting line-up after Scarlets were hammered by Cardiff Blues two weeks ago.

Captain Ken Owens, prop Rob Evans, scrum-half Gareth Davies, centres Jonathan Davies and Hadleigh Parkes and wing Stef Evans are all recalled.

That makes for an all-Wales front-row of Evans, Owens and Samson Lee, plus a glorious midfield pairing of Parkes and Jonathan Davies.

  4. Play-off battle hotting uppublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Scarlets v Edinburgh (18:45)

The table shows the monumentally tight battle to reach this season's Pro14 play-offs and seal automatic entry to the Champions Cup.

Leinster are tearing away at the summit of Conference B and cannot be caught, but there are four teams scrapping for two spots beneath them.

Edinburgh have paid the price for surrendering winning positions against Cardiff Blues and the Southern Kings in the second half of the season.

Scarlets, beaten finalists last year, are two points shy of their opponents after an inconsistent league campaign.

Today's game is a whopper, particularly with third-placed Benetton making the trip to Dublin to meet the all-conquering defending champions.
